Bloc-feuillet "Jeux olympiques Paris 2024" sur FDC d'Ukraine
Dans le contexte de l'agression russe en cours, l'équipe d'Ukraine post-indépendance participait pour la 8ème fois (depuis 1996) à des jeux olympiques d'été à Paris, des jeux organisés du 26 juillet au 11 août 2024.
L'Ukraine a envoyé à Paris la plus petite délégation de son histoire, 140 athlètes (72 hommes, 68 femmes) engagés dans 22 sports.
Dans ce contexte, la délégation ukrainienne a obtenu un résultat remarquable, avec 12 médailles (3 or, 5 argent, 4 bronze) remportées de façon paritaire (6 épreuves masculines, 6 épreuves féminines) dans 7 sports différents (escrime, athlétisme, lutte, boxe, canoë-kayak en ligne, gymnastique et tir).
Une des stars de cette équipe, l'escrimeuse Olga Kharlan (sabre), déjà médaillée en 2008, 2012 et 2016, a remporté 2 nouvelles médailles à Paris, l'or par équipe et le bronze en individuel. Olga Kharlan est depuis le début de cette guerre en première ligne pour défendre son pays et dénoncer cette agression russe.
Against the backdrop of ongoing Russian aggression, the post-independence Ukrainian team participated for the 8th time (since 1996) in the Summer Olympics in Paris, held from July 26 to August 11, 2024.
Ukraine sent the smallest delegation in its history to Paris, 140 athletes (72 men, 68 women) competing in 22 sports.
In this context, the Ukrainian delegation achieved a remarkable result, with 12 medals (3 gold, 5 silver, 4 bronze) won equally (6 men's events, 6 women's events) in 7 different sports (fencing, athletics, wrestling, boxing, canoeing, gymnastics and shooting).
One of the stars of this team, fencer Olga Kharlan (sabre), already a medalist in 2008, 2012 and 2016, won two new medals in Paris, team gold and individual bronze. Olga Kharlan has been on the front line since the beginning of this war to defend her country and denounce this Russian aggression.
Le 19 juillet 2024, la poste ukrainienne a mis en circulation un très joli bloc-feuillet, composé de 6 timbres de forme triangulaire (2 x U - 15 UAH, 4 x F - 30 UAH), afin d'encourager l'équipe olympique d'Ukraine ("Олімпійська команда України") lors de ces jeux olympiques de Paris 2024.
Conçu par Serhiia and Oleksandra Kharukiv, ce bloc-feuillet (tirage : 100000) figure sur le FDC officiel ci-dessus, envoyé en recommandé, avec TAD de Kyïv. Merci beaucoup Roman !
Un hologramme de forme ronde figure au milieu des 6 timbres, regroupés en forme d'hexagone pour rappeler la forme géographique de la France, une carte (sans la Corse...) figurant également dans la marge en bas à gauche.
L'emblème de comité national olympique ukrainien est aussi représenté dans la marge à gauche ainsi que sur chacun de ces timbres illustrant (de façon paritaire) 6 sports différents : haltérophilie, escrime, canoë-kayak en ligne, tennis, tir et judo.
Deux footballeurs figurent dans la marge en haut à gauche, rappelant que l'équipe masculine ukrainienne s'était qualifiée pour la 1ère fois de son histoire à un tournoi olympique à Paris.
On July 19, 2024, the Ukrainian Post released a very nice souvenir sheet, consisting of 6 triangular shaped stamps (2 x U - 15 UAH, 4 x F - 30 UAH), to cheer for the Ukrainian Olympic Team ("Олімпійська команда України") at these Paris 2024 Olympic Games.
Designed by Serhiia and Oleksandra Kharukiv, this souvenir sheet (print run: 100,000) is present on the official FDC above, sent by registered mail, with cancellations from Kyiv. Thank you very much Roman!
A round hologram is featured in the middle of the 6 stamps, grouped in a hexagon shape to recall the geographical shape of France, a map (without Corsica...) being also featured in the bottom left margin.
The emblem of the Ukrainian National Olympic Committee is also featured in the left margin as well as on each of these stamps illustrating (in a parity way) six different sports: weightlifting, fencing, canoeing, tennis, shooting and judo.
Two footballers are depicted in the top left margin, reminding us that the Ukrainian men's team had qualified for the first time in its history for an Olympic tournament in Paris.
Le premier jour d'émission, Roman m'a également envoyé depuis Lviv cette carte postale (recto ci-dessus, verso ci-dessous) mise en circulation spécialement pour cette émission olympique.
Roman a utilisé ici le timbre "Canoë-kayak en ligne" (F- 30 UAH) extrait du bloc-feuillet ainsi qu'un des 2 timbres EUROPA (U - 15 UAH, conception : Maria Suslova) émis le 24 mai 2023, illustrant le thème "La Paix - la valeur humaine la plus importante".
L'illustration de cette carte ci-dessous est similaire à celle figurant sur l'enveloppe avec la présence du symbole de Paris, la Tour Eiffel.
On the first day of issue, Roman also sent me from Lviv this postcard (front above, back below) put into circulation especially for this Olympic issue.
Roman used here the stamp "Canoeing" (F- 30 UAH) from the souvenir sheet as well as one of the two EUROPA stamps (U - 15 UAH, design: Maria Suslova) issued on May 24, 2023, illustrating the theme "Peace - the highest value of
humanity".
The illustration of this card below is similar to the one on the envelope with the presence of the symbol of Paris, the Eiffel Tower.
