Série "Jeux olympiques Paris 2024" et timbre Euromed Postal 2024 (Sports de Méditerranée) sur lettre de Slovénie
Comme de coutume, la poste slovène a mis en circulation, le 8 juillet 2024, une série (2 timbres) consacrée aux jeux olympiques de Paris 2024 (33ème olympiade) organisés du 26 juillet au 11 août 2024.
Conçus
par Svetlana Milijaševič, ces 2 timbres (tirage : 25000 chacun), imprimés dans un même feuillet
composé de 6 timbres (3 de chaque), ont été utilisés sur la lettre ci-dessous

Comme pour les jeux de Tokyo, un de ces 2 timbres (tarif permanent "C" pour un envoi standard international - 1,69€ actuellement) est consacré à l'escalade, une discipline forte de la délégation olympique slovène (Janja Garnbret a remporté la médaille d'or à Tokyo et à Paris), l'autre timbre (tarif permanent "D" pour un envoi ordinaire international 1ère classe - 1,96€ actuellement) étant consacré au cyclisme sur route, avec des athlètes slovènes au sommet dans cette discipline, en particulier Primož Roglič et Tadej Pogačar, médaillés olympiques à Tokyo.
As usual, the Slovenian Post has put into circulation, on July 8, 2024, a series (2 stamps) dedicated to the Paris 2024 Olympic Games (33rd Olympiad) organized from July 26 to August 11, 2024.
Designed by Svetlana Milijaševič, these two stamps (print run: 25,000 each), printed in a single sheet composed of 6 stamps (3 of each), have been used on the cover below sent on July 25, 2024 from the city of Kranj. Thank you very much Petra!
As for the Tokyo Games, one of these two stamps (permanent rate "C" for a standard international shipment - currently €1.69) is dedicated to sport climbing, a strong discipline of the Slovenian Olympic delegation (Janja Garnbret won the gold medal in Tokyo and Paris), the other stamp (permanent rate "D" for an ordinary international 1st class shipment - currently €1.96) is dedicated to road cycling, with Slovenian athletes at the top in this discipline, in particular Primož Roglič and Tadej Pogačar, Olympic medallists in Tokyo.
A Paris, la Slovénie a envoyé la plus importante délégation de son histoire post-indépendance, avec 90 athlètes engagés dans 15 sports et 3 médailles remportées (or en escalade-combiné pour Janja Garnbret, or en judo pour Andreja Leški et argent en kitesurf pour Toni Vodišek).
L'emblème du comité olympique slovène est présent sur ces 2 timbres ainsi que dans les marges
comme sur exemples ci-dessus.
A noter que ces jeux de Paris 2024 marquaient pour la Slovénie les exploits du gymnaste Leon Štukelj aux jeux de Paris 1924 il y a 100 ans, multiple champion olympique, sous les couleurs de la Yougoslavie à l'époque.
Le 3ème timbre ci-dessus (tarif permanent "D" pour un envoi ordinaire international 1ère classe - 1,96€ actuellement), également émis le 8 juillet 2024, est la contribution slovène à la série "Euromed Postal", illustrant cette année le thème des sports de la Méditerranée.
Conçu par Zadruga.traparij, ce timbre (tirage : 25000) représente les trois sports des Jeux méditerranéens dans lesquels les athlètes slovènes ont connu le plus de succès : basket-ball, volley-ball et natation.
Les couleurs orange et bleu évoquent le soleil brûlant de la Méditerranée et le bleu de la mer.
In Paris, Slovenia sent the largest delegation in its post-independence history, with 90 athletes competing in 15 sports and 3 medals won (gold in sport climbing-combined for Janja Garnbret, gold in judo for Andreja Leški and silver in Formula Kite for Toni Vodišek).
The emblem of the Slovenian Olympic Committee is present on these two stamps as well as in the margins as in the examples above.
It should be noted that these Paris 2024 games marked for Slovenia the exploits of gymnast Leon Štukelj at the Paris 1924 games 100 years ago, multiple Olympic champion, under the colors of Yugoslavia at the time.
The 3rd stamp above (permanent rate "D" for an ordinary international 1st class shipment - currently €1.96), also issued on July 8, 2024, is the Slovenian contribution to the "Euromed Postal" series, this year illustrating the theme of Sports in the Mediterranean.
Designed by Zadruga.traparij, this stamp (print run: 25,000) depicts the three Mediterranean Games sports in which Slovenian athletes have enjoyed the greatest success: basketball, volleyball and swimming.
The orange and blue colours evoke the hot Mediterranean sun and the blue of the sea.
