A l'occasion de la 14ème édition du Salon international de l'agriculture au Maroc (SIAM 2019) organisé du 16 au 21 avril 2019 à Meknès, la poste marocaine "Barid Al-Maghrib" a mis en circulation, le 16 avril 2019, 2 timbres ayant pour thème l'agriculture et la faune et la flore, en particulier l'abeille et le citronnier.
Conçus par Mohamed Cherifi, ces 2 timbres figurent sur le pli Premier Jour numéroté ci-dessous (n° 00260) envoyé le 16 juillet 2019 depuis Meknès. Merci beaucoup Pierre !
Ces 2 timbres (3,75 et 9 dirhams) ont été imprimés en France par Phil@poste, le timbre "Citronnier" dégageant un parfum de citron lorsqu'on le frotte !
On the occasion of the 14th edition of the International Agricultural Fair in Morocco (SIAM 2019) organized from 16 to 21 April 2019 in Meknes, the Moroccan Post "Barid Al-Maghrib" put into circulation, on April 16, 2019, two stamps on the theme of agriculture and fauna and flora, especially the bee and the lemon tree.
Designed by Mohamed Cherifi, these two stamps are present on the numbered First Day Cover below (No. 00260) sent on July 16, 2019 from Meknes. Thank you very much Pierre!
These two stamps (3.75 and 9 dirhams) were printed in France by Phil@poste, the "Lemon Tree" stamp producing a lemon scent when rubbed!
Comme dans les autres pays, l'abeille joue un rôle important de pollinisateur au Maroc, pays qui produit chaque année environ 4000 tonnes de miel.
La production du miel au Maroc joue un rôle socio-économique important comme moyen de lutte contre la pauvreté et source d'approvisionnement du marché domestique.
J'aime beaucoup le timbre "Citronnier" ci-dessus avec cette branche comportant des fruits et fleurs au 1er plan et ce paysage rural et montagneux dans le fond.
Les principales régions agrumicoles marocaines sont le Souss Massa (40.5% de la superficie), le Gharb (19.8%) et la Moulouya (16.8%), produisant principalement des oranges (51% de la production totale), les citrons ne représentant qu'à peine 4% de la production (environ 30000 tonnes, 2000 tonnes étant exportées chaque année).

I really love the "Lemon Tree" stamp above with this branch made of fruits and flowers in the foreground and this rural and mountainous landscape in the background.
