Un nombre incroyable d'administrations postales à travers le monde (France, Brésil, Bulgarie, Malte, Canada, USA, Espagne, Moldavie, Roumanie, Australie, Nouvelle-Zélande, Macédoine du Nord, Irlande, Jersey, Guernesey, Isle de Man, Suède, Suisse, Monaco, Liechtenstein, Hongrie, Pologne, Gibraltar, îles Féroé, Autriche, Kirghizstan (KEP), Uruguay, République serbe de Bosnie, Vietnam...) ont émis cette année des timbres consacrés au 50ème anniversaire du premier alunissage, la preuve que cet exploit a marqué les dernières générations d'humains !
Le 1er juillet 2019, l'Allemagne a également mis en circulation un timbre (3,70€, conception : Thomas Steinacker) consacré à cet anniversaire ("50 Jahre Erste Mondlandung").
Ce timbre a été imprimé en feuillet de 10 timbres, comme de coutume, ainsi que dans un splendide bloc-feuillet, présent sur ce pli Premier Jour avec TAD de Bonn. Merci beaucoup Jens !
An incredible number of postal administrations around the world (France, Brazil, Bulgaria, Malta, Canada, USA, Spain, Moldova, Romania, Australia, New Zealand, North Macedonia, Ireland, Jersey, Guernsey, Isle of Man, Sweden, Switzerland, Monaco, Liechtenstein, Hungary, Poland, Gibraltar, Faroe Islands, Austria, Kyrgyzstan (KEP), Uruguay, Republika Srpska, Vietnam ...) have issued this year stamps dedicated to the 50th anniversary of the first Moon landing, the proof that this feat has marked the last generations of humans!
On July 1, 2019, Germany also put into circulation a stamp (€ 3.70, design: Thomas Steinacker) dedicated to this anniversary ("50 Jahre Erste Mondlandung").
This stamp has been printed in a sheetket of 10 stamps, as usual, as well as in a splendid miniature sheet, present on this First Day Cover with postmarks from Bonn. Thanks a lot Jens!
Le 21 juillet 1969, pour la première fois dans l'histoire de l'humanité, deux astronautes américains, Neil Armstrong et Edwin "Buzz" Aldrin, ont marché sur la lune. 5 jours plus tôt, dans le cadre de la mission Apollo 11, Neil Armstrong, Edwin Aldrin et Michael Collins décollaient à bord d'une fusée Saturn-V du Kennedy Space Center en Floride, entrant en orbite lunaire le 19 juillet 1969.
Le timbre ci-dessus représente le module lunaire Eagle qui a permis à Neil Armstrong et Edwin Aldrin de se poser sur la lune.
Ce bloc-feuillet comporte plusieurs parties imprimées avec une encre dorée, en particulier l'orbite du module de commande (piloté par Collins) autour de la lune ainsi qu'une croix représentant le lieu précis où le module Eagle s'est posé, dans la mer de la Tranquillité.
La célèbre phrase prononcée par Armstrong lorsqu'il a posé le pied sur la lune, "That's one small step for "a" man, one giant leap for mankind!" est également mentionnée sur ce bloc-feuillet, en anglais !
A noter ce "a" dans la 1ère partie de cette phrase, Armstrong ayant affirmé qu'il avait effectivement dit "c'est un petit pas pour un homme" et non "c'est un petit pas pour l'homme", ce qui n'a pas tout à fait le même sens...
12 astronautes américains au total (4 sont encore en vie) ont marché sur la lune entre 1969 et 1972 lors de 6 missions Apollo, dont Alan Shepard en 1971, qui fut le 1er américain à voyager dans l'espace en 1961.
On July 21, 1969, for the first time in the history of humanity, two American astronauts, Neil Armstrong and Edwin "Buzz" Aldrin, walked on the moon. Five days earlier, as part of the Apollo 11 mission, Neil Armstrong, Edwin Aldrin and Michael Collins took off aboard a Saturn V rocket from the Kennedy Space Center in Florida, entering lunar orbit on July 19, 1969.
The stamp above represents the Eagle Lunar Module that allowed Neil Armstrong and Edwin Aldrin to land on the moon.
This miniature sheet contains several parts printed with a golden ink, in particular the orbit of the command module (controlled by Collins) around the moon and a cross representing the precise location where the Eagle module landed, in the Sea of Tranquility.
Armstrong's famous phrase when he set foot on the moon, "That's one small step for "a" man, one giant leap for mankind!" is also mentioned on this miniature sheet, in English!
To note this "a" in the first part of this sentence, Armstrong having affirmed that he had indeed said "That's one small step for a man" and not "That's one small step for man", this which does not quite have the same meaning ...
12 American astronauts in total (4 are still alive) walked on the moon between 1969 and 1972 during 6 Apollo missions, including Alan Shepard in 1971, who was the first American to travel into space in 1961.
