Le 29 avril 2019, les trois administrations postales d'Italie, de la Cité du Vatican et de l'Ordre Souverain Militaire de Malte (OSMM) ont mis en circulation un très joli bloc-feuillet commun consacré au 50ème anniversaire du Commandement des carabiniers pour la protection du patrimoine culturel ("Comando Carabinieri per la Tutela del Patrimonio Culturale").
Ce bloc-feuillet (conception : Maria Carmela Perrini) reproduit 6 œuvres volées puis retrouvées grâce à ce Commandement, conservées aujourd'hui dans différents musées italiens.
La version italienne de ce bloc-feuillet (6 timbres autocollants au tarif domestique "B" - 1,10€ pour un envoi jusqu'à 20g) figure sur la lettre ci-dessous, avec un TAD Premier Jour de Legnago du 2 mai 2019, correspondant à la date d'émission de la série "500 ans de la naissance de Léonard de Vinci"...

A noter que la poste du Vatican a émis ce bloc-feuillet avec uniquement un timbre à 5,40€, les 5 autres étant des vignettes, la poste de l'OSMM ayant émis 6 timbres à 1,10€.
On April 29, 2019, the three postal administrations of Italy, the Vatican City and the Sovereign Military Order of Malta (SMOM) put into circulation a very nice minisheet dedicated to the 50th anniversary of the Carabinieri Command for the Protection of Cultural Heritage ("Comando Carabinieri per la Tutela del Patrimonio Culturale").
This minisheet (design: Maria Carmela Perrini) reproduces 6 works stolen and recovered thanks to this Command, preserved today in different Italian museums.
The Italian version of this minisheet (6 self-adhesive stamps at the "B" domestic tariff - € 1.10 for a shipment up to 20g) is present on the letter below, with a First Day cancellation from Legnago of May 2, 2019 , corresponding to the date of issue of the "500 years of the birth of Leonardo da Vinci" stamp set ...

Cinq des six timbres reproduisent les œuvres récupérées par les carabiniers suivantes : "Portrait d'une femme douce", dit "La muta", de Raffaello Sanzio, conservé à la galerie nationale des Marches - Palazzo Ducale d'Urbino, "feuille de psautier" conservée aux Archives provinciales de l'Ara Coeli à Rome, "Le jardinier" ou "Portrait d'un jeune paysan" de Vincent van Gogh, conservé à la Galerie nationale d'art moderne et contemporain de Rome, "Visage en ivoire", art romain du Ier siècle après J.-C. conservé au Musée national romain - Palazzo Massimo à Rome et "Sainte famille avec un saint" d'Andrea Mantegna, conservée au musée de Castelvecchio di Verona.
Le sixième timbre, en bas à droite, représente le Palazzetto Raguzzini, siège historique du Commandement des carabiniers pour la protection du patrimoine culturel, sur la place Sant 'Ignazio à Rome.
La marge à gauche évoque une peinture du Caravage, "La Nativité avec saint François et saint Laurent" (1609), volée en 1969 dans l'Oratoire de San Lorenzo à Palerme, non retrouvée à ce jour...
Le vol de ce tableau en 1969 à déclenché la création de ce Commandement spécial il y a 50 ans, une première dans le monde.
Five of the six stamps reproduce the following works recovered by the carabinieri: "Portrait of a sweet woman" or "La muta" by Raffaello Sanzio, kept in the National Gallery of the Marches - Palazzo Ducale of Urbino, "Psalter leaf" kept in the Ara Coeli Provincial Archives in Rome, "The Gardener" or "Portrait of a Young Peasant" by Vincent van Gogh, kept in the National Gallery of Modern and Contemporary Art in Rome, "Ivory Face", Roman art from the 1st century AD preserved in the National Roman Museum - Palazzo Massimo in Rome and "Holy Family with a Saint" by Andrea Mantegna, kept in the Museum of Castelvecchio di Verona.
The sixth stamp, on the bottom right, represents the Palazzetto Raguzzini, the historic headquarters of the Carabinieri Command for the Protection of Cultural Heritage, on Piazza Sant 'Ignazio in Rome.
The margin on the left evokes a painting of Caravaggio, "Nativity with St. Francis and St. Lawrence" (1609), stolen in 1969 in the Oratory of San Lorenzo in Palermo, not recovered to date ...
The theft of this painting in 1969 triggered the creation of this Special Command 50 years ago, a first in the world.
