Vous devez maintenant savoir que 2009 a été déclarée "Année mondiale de l'Astronomie" conjointement par les Nations Unies et l'UNESCO, sur proposition de l'UAI (Union Astronomique Internationale).
L'association PostEurop, regroupant les opérateurs postaux européens, a eu la bonne idée de choisir le thème de l'astronomie pour les émissions de timbres EUROPA en 2009.
La poste finlandaise a ainsi émis 2 timbres se-tenant (0,80€ chacun) le 6 mai 2009. Ils figurent sur le FDC officiel ci-dessus avec une très originale oblitération "1er jour" représentant un enfant scrutant le ciel.

You now know that 2009 was declared "International Year of Astronomy" jointly by the United Nations and UNESCO, initiated by the IAU (International Astronomical Union).
PostEurop, the association of the European postal operators, had the good idea to choose the theme of Astronomy for the EUROPA stamp issues in 2009.
The Finland's Post has thus issued two se-tenant stamp (€ 0.80 each) on 6th of May 2009. They appear on the official FDC above with a very original FDC cancellation depicting a child watching the sky.

La poste finlandaise s'est associée avec URSA, la plus importante association astronomique du pays qui dispose d'un observatoire à Helsinki, pour l'émission de cette série très réussie !
Ces 2 timbres montrent un paysage irréel de lacs avec de nombreux corps célestes dans le ciel. Le choix d'une représentation en noir et blanc s'avère très judicieux (bravo à l'auteur, Johannes Nieminen) !
La lune et notre voie lactée figurent sur le timbre de gauche. Celui de droite montre une comète et la planète Saturne (je vous laisse comparer ce timbre avec celui émis par la France représentant la même planète...).
L'enveloppe montre les tailles respectives de différentes planètes de notre système solaire (la Terre curieusement n'y figure pas...). L'autre face de cette lettre compare la taille de différentes étoiles géantes, dont le soleil.

These two stamps are depicting a fantasy and surreal landscape of lakes with different heavenly bodies in the sky. The choice of a black and white design is very appropriate (congratulation to the designer, Johannes Nieminen) !
The Moon and the Milky Way are shown on the stamp to the left. The right one is depicting a comet and the planet Saturn (I let you compare this stamp with the one issued by France, representing the same planet...).
The envelope shows the respective sizes of different planets of the solar system (our planet Earth does not appear strangely...). The other side of this cover compares the size of different giant stars, including the Sun.
