EUROPA 2013 stamp on a cover from Kazakhstan

Très heureux d'évoquer cette lettre du Kazakhstan, postée d'Almaty le 29 mai 2013, avec vous puisque Vladimir (merci beaucoup !) a utilisé des timbres faisant partie de mes thématiques préférées : EUROPA et jeux olympiques :-)
Pour son timbre EUROPA 2013 émis le 9 avril (200 tengues, tirage : 220000) ayant cette année pour thème les "véhicules postaux", la poste du Kazakhstan (Kazposta) a choisi une illustration plutôt originale montrant un facteur sur un chameau parcourant sans doute les vastes steppes du pays...
Ce timbre reproduit en fait une oeuvre datant de 1916 par le peintre Nikolai Khludov (1850-1935) venu s'installer à Almaty en 1877 où il fut d'abord professeur de dessin.

For its EUROPA 2013 stamp issued on April 9th (200 Tenge, print run : 220,000) devoted this year to the theme of "Postal vehicles", the Post of Kazakhstan (Kazposta) chose a rather original illustration showing a postman on a camel probably delivering mail in the vast steppes of the country...
That stamp reproduces a work dating ​​from 1916 by the painter Nikolai Khludov (1850-1935) who went to live in Almaty from 1877 where he taught drawing.

Comme cette oeuvre, la plupart des peintures de Khludov sont consacrées à des scènes de la vie de tous les jours de kazakhs au début du 20ème siècle.
A noter que ce timbre a été émis dans 2 feuilles différentes, composées de 10 timbres, dont une incluant 2 paires de timbres tête-bêche (le timbre ci-dessus a été extrait de la feuille "normale").
Vladimir a complété son affranchissement avec 2 exemplaires du timbre (25 tengues) émis le 2 avril 2008 à l'occasion de l'étape du relais de la flamme olympique des jeux de Pékin ce jour là à Almaty, la plus grande ville du pays.
La poste kazakhe a également émis, le 10 août 2008, deux autres timbres consacrés à ces jeux.
Like this work, most of Khludov's paintings are devoted to Kazakh evrey day scenes in the early 20th century.
To note that this stamp was issued in two different sheets, both consisting of 10 stamps, one of them including two pairs of tête bêche stamps (the stamp used above was extracted from the "normal" sheet).
Vladimir has also used above a stamp in two copies (25 Tenge) issued on April 2, 2008 to celebrate the stop of the Olympic torch relay of the Beijing Games that day in Almaty, the largest city in the country.
The Post of Kazakhstan had also issued on August 10, 2008 two other stamps devoted to these Beijing games.
