East Asian Stamp Exhibition in Taipei

Taipei will host in 2015 (from 24 to 28 April), an important event for philatelists, the 30th edition of the Asian International Stamp Exhibition (Taipei 2015).
The organization of this exhibition will coincide with the 120th anniversary of the establishment of the Chunghwa Post.
Meanwhile, another exhibition, the 4th East Asian Stamp Exhibition was held in Taipei from 19 to 22 December 2014.
On this occasion, different special cancellations were issued during these 4 days. A big thank you George for these four nice covers mailed from this stamp show :-)

George has franked these four letters with the stamps of the series (8 stamps), issued on December 10, 2014, dedicated to different ancient artifacts unearthed (from 1928 to 1937) on the archaeological site of Yin Xu, the last capital of the ancient Shang Dynasty (1300-1046 BC.).
I already wrote about this nice stamp set in a post published on this blog on January 3, 2015.
The same purple cachet was applied to the right on these letters, evoking this stamp exhibition and one of the symbols of Taipei, the Taipei 101 tower (inaugurated in 2004), the fourth highest skyscraper in the world.
This same tower is featured on the special postmark of December 19, 2014 above.

The National Palace Museum, which opened in 1964 in Taipei, is depicted on the special postmark of December 20, 2014 above.
This museum, exhibiting collections of the Imperial Palace of the Forbidden City in Beijing, is considered as one of the greatest museums in the world specializing in Asian art.

The special cancellation of December 21, 2014 above shows the building housing (since 1985) the Chunghwa Postal Museum in Taipei, dedicated to the postal history of the island, modern postal services and of course philately.

The postmark issued on the last day (December 22) of this exhibition, applied above, shows the facade of the old post office in Taipei ("Taipei Beimen Post Office") whose construction was completed in 1930.
Often threatened with demolition for its dilapidated state, this building was protected as a third-degree national historic site in 1992.
It is mainly used for postal boxes, other postal operations being transferred to another post office under reconstruction.
