Le 6 septembre 2018, la poste italienne a mis en circulation une série "Excellence italienne du spectacle" composée de 3 timbres ordinaires autocollants (tarif domestique "B" - 1,10€ pour un envoi jusqu'à 20g) consacrés à des chefs-d'œuvre du cinéma italien, "I soliti ignoti", "Il giorno della civetta" et "C’era una volta il West".
Merci beaucoup Paolo pour cette intéressante lettre, envoyée le 22 septembre 2018 depuis Saluzzo (province de Cuneo), avec double oblitération de Turin du 24 septembre 2018, affranchie avec ces 3 timbres (conception : Gaetano Ieluzzo).
"I soliti ignoti" ("Le Pigeon" en français) est un film réalisé en 1958 par Mario Monicelli, avec Renato Salvatori, Vittorio Gassman et Claudia Cardinale, concernant une bande de malfrats qui tentent un vol rocambolesque.
"Il giorno della civetta" ("La Mafia fait la loi" en français) est un film réalisé en 1968 par Damiano Damiani, inspiré du roman "Le Jour de la chouette" de Leonardo Sciascia, avec Claudia Cardinale et Franco Nero, ayant pour thème la mafia.
On 6 September 2018, the Italian Post has put into circulation a series "Italian Excellence of entertainment" composed of 3 ordinary stamps (domestic rate "B" - € 1.10 for a shipment up to 20g) dedicated to Masterpieces of Italian cinema, "I soliti ignoti", "Il giorno della civetta" and "C’era una volta il West".

"I soliti ignoti" ("Big Deal on Madonna Street" in English) is a 1958 film directed by Mario Monicelli, with Renato Salvatori, Vittorio Gassman and Claudia Cardinale, about a gang of thugs who are trying a freakish flight.
"Il giorno della civetta" ("The Day of the Owl" in English) is a 1968 film directed by Damiano Damiani, inspired by the novel "The Day of the Owl" by Leonardo Sciascia, with Claudia Cardinale and Franco Nero, having the Mafia for theme.

"C’era una volta il West" ("Il était une fois dans l'Ouest" en français) est l'un des films italiens les plus connus dans le monde, consacré à la conquête de l'Ouest américain, réalisé en 1968 par Sergio Leone, chef-d'œuvre du western spaghetti et célèbre pour sa musique créée par Ennio Morricone. Claudia Cardinale est également à l'affiche, dans le seul rôle féminin du film.
Paolo a complété son affranchissement avec un timbre (0,23€) émis le 2 janvier 2002, faisant partie de la série courante "la femme dans l'art", un portrait de femme ("Banquet d'Hérode") par Filippo Lippi ici.

Paolo a envoyé cette lettre à l'occasion d'une exposition "Les olympiades à Saluzzo" organisée à Saluzzo du 21 au 23 septembre 2018, en collaboration avec l'UICOS ("Union italienne des collectionneurs olympiques et sportifs").
Le 22 septembre 2018, 2 TADs ont été mis en circulation, avec mention "Province de Cuneo - Terre de Champions", consacrés à 2 grands sportifs de cette région, Stefania Belmondo (TAD ci-dessus), skieuse de fond, double championne olympique (en 1992 et 2002) et 4 fois championne du monde, et Maurizio Damilano, champion olympique du 20 km marche en 1980 et 2 fois champion du monde.
"C’era una volta il West" ("Once Upon a Time in the West" in English) is one of the most famous Italian films in the world, dedicated to the conquest of the American West, directed in 1968 by Sergio Leone, masterpiece of the spaghetti western and famous for its music created by Ennio Morricone.
Claudia Cardinale is also playing in the only female role of the film.
Paolo completed his postage with a stamp (€ 0.23) issued on January 2, 2002, part of the definitive series "the woman in art", a woman portrait ("The Feast of Herod") by Filippo Lippi here.

On September 22, 2018, two postmarks were put in circulation, with mention "Province of Cuneo - Land of Champions", devoted to two great athletes of this region, Stefania Belmondo (postmark above), cross-country skier, double Olympic champion (in 1992 and 2002) and 4 times world champion, and Maurizio Damilano, Olympic champion of the 20 km race walk in 1980 and 2 times world champion.
