Le 3 septembre 2018, la poste coréenne a mis en circulation un nouveau timbre (330 won, tirage : 720000) consacré au 100ème anniversaire de la création de l'université Chung-Ang à Séoul.
Conçu par Shin, Jae-yong, ce timbre a été imprimé par Cartor (avec la devise "Justice and Truth" appliquée par dorure à chaud de couleur bleue) en feuille de 16 timbres.
J'ai eu la chance de recevoir le pli Premier Jour ci-dessous (daté du 10 septembre 2018) concernant ce timbre (en 2 exemplaires), avec TAD de Nambusan. Merci beaucoup Ji-Ho !
L'université Chung-Ang ("CAU") a été fondée en 1918 à Séoul sous le nom de jardin d'enfants Chung-Ang. En 1922, un département d'éducation de la petite enfance a été créé pour encourager les enseignants de jardin d'enfants professionnels, ce qui a conduit à la fondation en 1928 de l'école normale de Chung-Ang.
On September 3, 2018, the Korean Post issued a new stamp (330 won, print run: 720,000) devoted to the 100th anniversary of the establishment of the Chung-Ang University in Seoul.
Designed by Shin, Jae-yong, that stamp was printed by Cartor (with the motto "Justice and Truth" applied by hot foil stamping in blue) in a sheet of 16 stamps.
I was lucky enough to receive the First Day cover below (dated September 10, 2018) regarding that stamp (in 2 copies), with postmarks from Nambusan. Thank you very much Ji-Ho!
Chung-Ang University ("CAU") was founded in 1918 in Seoul as Chung-Ang Kindergarten. In 1922, a Department of Early Childhood Education was created to foster professional kindergarten teachers, which led to the founding in 1928 of the Chung-Ang Normal School.
Après avoir changé de localisation en 1938, l'école a été élevée au rang d'école professionnelle Chung-Ang pour femmes en 1946 et en collège Chung-Ang en 1947.
En 1953, l'école a été accréditée en tant qu'université complète. Au cours de la période agitée des années 60 et 70, l'université a créé le "College of Arts" et acquis un hôpital général pour renforcer sa fondation en tant qu’université, avant l'ouverture du campus d'Anseong pour élargir le champ de ses terrains d’enseignement en 1980.
L'université Chung-Ang a pour objectif "d'éduquer les étudiants avec le degré de sophistication requis par les dirigeants de la société et les connaissances professionnelles susceptibles de contribuer au développement national sur la base des principes de justice et de vérité, afin de devenir des individus talentueux et capables de contribuer au bien public du peuple coréen et de l'humanité"...
Le timbre représente le pavillon en pierre Young-Shin (portant le nom du fondateur de cette institution, Dr. Young-Shin Yim), achevé en 1938, symbole du passé de la CAU.
After changing location in 1938, the school was elevated to Chung-Ang Professional School for Women in 1946 and Chung-Ang College in 1947.
In 1953, the school was accredited as a complete university. During the turbulent period of the 1960s and 1970s, the university created the "College of Arts" and acquired a general hospital to strengthen its foundation as a university, before the opening of the Anseong campus to expand the field of his teaching grounds in 1980.
Chung-Ang University's objective of education is "to cultivate students with the sophistication required for societal leaders and the professional knowledge that can contribute to the national development based on the principles of justice and truth so that they may become talented individuals able to contribute to the public good of Korean people and humankind"...
The stamp depicts the Young-Shin stone Hall (named after the founder of this institution, Dr. Young-Shin Yim), completed in 1938, a symbol of the CAU's past.
