"2026 World Figure Skating Championships" stamps on FDC from Czech Republic

Timbres "Championnats du monde de patinage artistique 2026" sur FDC de République tchèque 

Après 1962 et 1993 (et 1939 pour la compétition féminine à part), Prague accueillait à nouveau, du 24 au 29 mars 2026, les championnats du monde de patinage artistique (115ème édition), à l'O2 Arena, un peu plus d'un mois après les jeux olympiques de Milano Cortina.
Le 18 mars 2026, la poste tchèque a mis en circulation 2 jolis timbres se-tenant (tarif permanent "B" pour un envoi domestique standard jusqu'à 50g en mode économique - 31 CZK) consacrés à cette compétition, présents sur le FDC officiel ci-dessous (tirage : 2200) avec TAD de Prague (paire de patins à glace).
Conçus par Eliška Vojtěch, ces 2 timbres (tirage : 300000) ont été imprimés dans une même feuille composée de 50 timbres (25 pairs). 
Following the events of 1962 and 1993 (and 1939 for the separate women's competition), Prague once again hosted the World Figure Skating Championships (the 115th edition) at the O2 Arena from March 24 to 29, 2026—just over a month after the Milano Cortina Olympic Games.
On March 18, 2026, the Czech Post issued two attractive se-tenant stamps (at the "B" permanent rate for standard domestic mail up to 50g via economy service—31 CZK) dedicated to this competition; these appear on the official First Day Cover below (print run: 2,200), featuring a special Prague postmark (a pair of ice skates).
Designed by Eliška Vojtěch, these two stamps (print run: 300,000) have been printed in a single sheet containing 50 stamps (25 pairs).  

Le timbre à gauche illustre la discipline du patinage artistique masculin, avec le panorama de la rive gauche de la Vltava dominé par le Château de Prague dans le fond, l'autre timbre étant consacré à la discipline du patinage artistique féminin, avec la rive droite de la Vltava, marquée notamment par l'église Notre-Dame-du-Týn dans le fond. 
Eliška Vojtěch s'est inspirée de l'identité visuelle de la compétition, caractérisée par la stylisation triangulaire de la surface de glace et l'association distinctive des couleurs bleu et rose. 
Lors de ces championnats du monde, le danseur sur glace français Guillaume Cizeron (en compétition avec Laurence Fournier Beaudry) a conquit son 6ème titre mondial, égalant le record des soviétiques Lioudmila Pakhomova et Alexandr Gorshkov en 1976.
The stamp on the left depicts the men's figure skating discipline, featuring a panorama of the Vltava's left bank dominated by Prague Castle in the background, while the other stamp is dedicated to women's figure skating, showing the right bank of the Vltava, notably featuring the Church of Our Lady before Týn in the background.
Eliška Vojtěch drew inspiration from the competition's visual identity, characterized by a triangular stylization of the ice surface and a distinctive blue and pink color scheme.
At these World Championships, French ice dancer Guillaume Cizeron (competing with Laurence Fournier Beaudry) won his sixth world title, equaling the record set by the Soviet pair Lyudmila Pakhomova and Aleksandr Gorshkov in 1976.
