40 years of normalization of relations between Japan and China

On September 29, 1972, a joint statement of the Government of Japan and the Government of the People's Republic of China was signed in Beijing, endorsing the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries and de facto the severing of official relations between Japan and the Republic of China (Taiwan).
This Treaty then put an end to "abnormal relations between Japan and China" while recognizing the People's Republic of China as "sole government of China" and renouncing any claim for war reparations from World War II...
40 years after this signing, Japan Post issued (September 4, 2012) a special stamp dedicated to this anniversary.

That stamp (80 yen, design : Hitomi Nakamaru), printed in sheet containing 10 stamps, was used to frank the cover above, sent on January 18, 2016 from the city of Kanazawa, the capital of Ishikawa Prefecture (north-central Honshu island, on the Sea of Japan coast). Thank you very much Tristan !
That stamp shows a flower arrangement from the iconic flowers (cherry blossom for Japan and peony for China) forming the initials "C" and "J" of the two countries.
If I'm not wrong, the China Post (relations between China and Japan are often still strained) does not seem to have commemorated this anniversary...
The huge red cachet applied on this envelope to the left evokes the international passenger terminal of Tokyo-Haneda International Airport, one of two airports of the Greater Tokyo Aera with Narita International Airport.
