"St. John Baptist Hospital in Rome" joint s/s with Italy, on cover from the Order of Malta (SMOM)

Bloc-feuillet "Hôpital Saint Jean Baptiste à Rome", commun avec l'Italie, sur lettre de l'Ordre de Malte (OSMM)

Le 27 novembre 2015, les administrations postales d'Italie et de l'Ordre Souverain Militaire de Malte ou OSMM (le nom abrégé de l'Ordre souverain militaire hospitalier de Saint-Jean de Jérusalem, de Rhodes et de Malte) ont mis en circulation un bloc-feuillet commun composé de 2 timbres (0,95€ chacun) consacré à l'hôpital Saint Jean Baptiste à Rome, appartenant à l'association des chevaliers italiens de l'OSMM.
Le bloc-feuillet émis par l'Ordre de Malte (tirage : 40000) a été utilisé sur la lettre ci-dessous avec TAD du 7 novembre 2024 (avec, comme de coutume, la mention "Poste Magistrali"). 
On November 27, 2015, the two postal administrations of Italy and the Sovereign Military Order of Malta or SMOM (the short name of the Sovereign Military Hospitaller Order of Saint John of Jerusalem of Rhodes and of Malta) have put into circulation a joint souvenir sheet with two stamps (€0.95 each) dedicated to St. John Baptist Hospital in Rome, owned by the association of Italian knights of the SMOM.
The souvenir sheet issued by the Order of Malta (print run: 40,000) was used on the cover below with postmark of November 7, 2024 (with, as usual, the mention "Poste Magistrali").

Les 2 timbres de ce bloc-feuillet, conçu par Anna Maria Maresca, montrent respectivement une partie ancienne avec l'entrée de cet hôpital, situé dans le château Magliana, et une vue d'un bâtiment plus contemporain.
Ce château Magliana a été construit à Rome pour servir de résidence d'été des papes à partir de la fin du 15ème siècle, à l'initiative du pape Sixte IV. Ce site connaitra son âge d'or sous le pontificat de Léon X au début du 16ème siècle avant d'être progressivement abandonné après la Renaissance.
En 1959, l'ensemble du site a été acheté et restauré par l'Ordre Souverain Militaire de Malte et abrite aujourd'hui les bureaux et la direction de l'hôpital Saint Jean Baptiste ("Ospedale San Giovanni Battista").
La cour d'honneur de ce château Magliana est représentée dans la marge à droite, avec la fontaine Pie VI et le bâtiment Innocent VIII.
The two stamps of this souvenir sheet, designed by Anna Maria Maresca, respectively feature an old part with the entry of this hospital, located in the Magliana castle, and a view of a more contemporary building.
This Magliana castle was built in Rome to serve as the summer residence of the popes from the late 15th century, at the initiative of Pope Sixtus IV. This site knew its golden age under Pope Leo X in the early 16th century, before being progressively abandoned after the Renaissance.
In 1959, the entire site was purchased and restored by the Sovereign Military Order of Malta and now houses the offices and the direction of St. John Baptist Hospital ("Ospedale San Giovanni Battista").
The courtyard of honour of this Magliana castle is featured on the margin to the right, with the fountain Pius VI and the Innocent VIII building.
