Euromed Postal 2025 (Resources of the Mediterranean) stamp on cover from Croatia

Timbre Euromed Postal 2025 (Ressources de Méditerranée) sur lettre de Croatie 

Pour rappel, depuis 2014, certains pays membres (23 au total actuellement) de l'Union Postale pour la Méditerranée (PUMed), une union restreinte de l'UPU, émettent chaque année des timbres "Euromed Postal" ayant un thème commun lié à la région méditerranéenne.
Après les sports de la Méditerranée en 2024, les 14 administrations postales participantes ont émis en 2025 des timbres "Euromed Postal" différents consacrés au thème des ressources de la Méditerranée ("Resursi Mediterana" en croate).
Le 14 juillet 2025, la poste croate a mis en circulation un timbre Euromed Postal illustrant ce thème, en particulier le delta de la rivière Neretva.
La poste croate participe à ces émissions Euromed Postal depuis 2015 (bateaux de la Méditerranée). 
Ce nouveau timbre (1,70€, tirage : 25000), conçu par Dean Roksandić à partir d'une photographie de Tomislav Veić, imprimé en feuille de 16 timbres, a été utilisé sur la lettre ci-dessous envoyée récemment depuis Rijeka. Merci beaucoup Dragan ! 
As a reminder, since 2014, some member countries (currently 23 in total) of the Postal Union for the Mediterranean (PUMed), a restricted union of the UPU, have been issuing "Euromed Postal" stamps each year with a common theme related to the Mediterranean region. 
Following Sports in the Mediterranean in 2024, the 14 participating postal administrations issued different "Euromed Postal" stamps in 2025 dedicated to the theme of Resources of the Mediterranean ("Resursi Mediterana" in Croatian).
On July 14, 2025, the Croatian Post issued a Euromed Postal stamp illustrating this theme, specifically the Neretva River delta.
The Croatian Post has participated in these Euromed Postal issues since 2015 (Boats of the Mediterranean).
This new stamp (€1.70, print run: 25,000), designed by Dean Roksandić from a photograph by Tomislav Veić, printed in a sheet of 16 stamps, was used on the cover below recently sent from Rijeka. Thank you very much, Dragan! 

La Neretva est le principal fleuve d'Herzégovine et de Dalmatie et un des plus importants de Bosnie-Herzégovine. Les sources de la Neretva sont situées à 1320 m d'altitude dans les Alpes dinariques près de Jabuka.
Dans le haut de son cours, la Neretva est un des fleuves les plus froids du monde (avec une moyenne de 7-8 °C pendant les mois d'été), avec une eau extrêmement propre et une flore et une faune endémiques uniques.
Dans la troisième partie de son cours, la Neretva atteint une région parfois appelée la "Californie de Bosnie-Herzégovine", la rivière y achève les 30 derniers kilomètres de son parcours en formant un delta alluvial (le seul véritable delta et la plus grande embouchure de Croatie), avant de se jeter dans la mer Adriatique près de Ploče.
Le delta de la Neretva, qui couvre environ 20000 hectares, abrite une richesse d'habitats humides et de lagunes côtières, ainsi qu'une flore et une faune diverses et uniques, notamment des espèces protégées dont 300 espèces d'oiseaux, le long de la route migratoire de l'Adriatique. 
La vallée de la Neretva fait partie du réseau écologique européen "Natura 2000" et est également inscrite à la Convention de Ramsar. 
The Neretva is the main river of Herzegovina and Dalmatia and one of the most important in Bosnia and Herzegovina. The Neretva's headwaters are located at an altitude of 1,320 m in the Dinaric Alps near Jabuka.
In its upper reaches, the Neretva is one of the coldest rivers in the world (averaging 7-8°C during the summer months), with extremely clean water and unique endemic flora and fauna.
In the third part of its course, the Neretva reaches a region sometimes called the "California of Bosnia and Herzegovina". Here, the river completes the last 30 kilometers of its course by forming an alluvial delta (the only true delta and the largest river mouth in Croatia), before flowing into the Adriatic Sea near Ploče.
The Neretva Delta, covering approximately 20,000 hectares, is home to a wealth of wetland habitats and coastal lagoons, as well as a diverse and unique flora and fauna, including protected species, among them 300 bird species, along the Adriatic migratory route.
The Neretva Valley is part of the European "Natura 2000" ecological network and is also listed under the Ramsar Convention.
