Timbres "25 ans d'adhésion au Conseil de l'Europe" sur lettre d'Arménie
Le 25 janvier 2001, la République d'Arménie devenait membre du Conseil de l'Europe (46 états membres - 700 millions de citoyens actuellement), créé en 1949 et ayant pour principale mission de promouvoir la démocratie, les droits humains et l'État de droit dans toute l'Europe et au-delà.
Le 28 janvier 2026, la poste arménienne a mis en circulation un timbre (320 AMD, tirage : 10000, conception : David Dovlatyan), imprimé (en France par Cartor) en feuillet de 8 timbres, consacré ayu 25ème anniversaire de l'adhésion du pays au Conseil de l'Europe.
Ce timbre a été utilisé en 4 exemplaires sur la lettre ci-dessous envoyée en recommandé le 6 février 2026 depuis Erevan, la capitale. Merci beaucoup Sedrak !
Le drapeau de l'Arménie et celui du Conseil de l'Europe (qui est aussi celui de l'Union européenne) sont représentés sur ce timbre, sans le logo spécifique au Conseil de l'Europe, adopté en 1999 (drapeau européen sur lequel un e minuscule de couleur blanche est frappé).
On January 25, 2001, the Republic of Armenia became a member of the Council of Europe (46 member states – currently representing 700 million citizens), established in 1949 with the primary mission of promoting democracy, human rights, and the rule of law throughout Europe and beyond.
On January 28, 2026, the Armenian Post issued a stamp (320 AMD, print run: 10,000, design: David Dovlatyan), printed (in France by Cartor) in a sheetlet of 8 stamps, commemorating the 25th anniversary of the country's accession to the Council of Europe.
This stamp was used four times on the cover below, sent by registered mail on February 6, 2026, from Yerevan, the capital. Thank you very much, Sedrak!
The flag of Armenia and that of the Council of Europe (which is also that of the European Union) are depicted on this stamp, without the specific logo of the Council of Europe, adopted in 1999 (European flag on which a lowercase e in white is stamped).

Sedrak a utilisé 5 autres timbres sur l'autre côté de son enveloppe ci-dessous dont un à gauche (160 AMD, tirage : 30000, conception : David Dovlatyan) émis le 26 avril 2021, consacré au 200ème anniversaire de la fondation du "Armenian College and Philanthropic Academy" (ACPA), un établissement scolaire arménien situé à Calcutta, en Inde. En 2015, il était le seul établissement arménien d'Asie orientale, et ce depuis sa création.
The Council of Europe's actions in Armenia primarily concern the prevention of torture, the fight against racism, the protection of social rights, the protection of minorities, the fight against corruption and money laundering, and the fight against human trafficking.
Sedrak used five other stamps on the other side of his envelope below, including one on the left (160 AMD, print run: 30,000, design: David Dovlatyan) issued on April 26, 2021, commemorating the 200th anniversary of the founding of the Armenian College and Philanthropic Academy (ACPA), an Armenian school located in Kolkata, India. In 2015, it was the only Armenian school in East Asia, a status it had maintained since its inception.
Les 4 timbres à droite (tirage : 15000 chacun, conception : Ashkhen (Mila) Khandzratsyan) constituent la jolie série émise le 8 septembre 2022, illustrant la flore et la faune locale, en particulier des plantes, Lilium armenum (320 AMD) et Astrantia maxima (380 AMD), un mammifère, le chat de Pallas - Otocolobus manul (500 AMD), observé depuis 2020 en Arménie, et un oiseau, le tichodrome échelette (Tichodroma muraria).
The four stamps on the right (print run: 15,000 each, design: Ashkhen (Mila) Khandzratsyan) make up the lovely series issued on September 8, 2022, illustrating local flora and fauna, in particular plants, Lilium armenum (320 AMD) and Astrantia maxima (380 AMD), a mammal, Pallas's cat - Otocolobus manul (500 AMD), observed since 2020 in Armenia, and a bird, the wallcreeper (Tichodroma muraria).
