Série "Nouvel An chinois - Année du cheval de feu" sur FDC de Suisse
Le 17 février 2026, des millions de personnes à travers le monde
célébraient le Nouvel An lunaire, qui marquait le début de la nouvelle
année dans de nombreux pays asiatiques, notamment en Chine.
La date
étant déterminée par le cycle lunaire, le Nouvel An lunaire tombe chaque
année à une date différente située entre fin janvier et mi-février. Il
marque le début d'une nouvelle année dans le zodiaque chinois, chaque
année étant associée à un animal.
2026 est l'année du cheval (associé à l'élément feu), qui, en
astrologie chinoise, symbolise l'énergie, le dynamisme et l'agilité.
Lanternes multicolores, musique festive et couleurs éclatantes: cette fête traditionnelle du Nouvel An lunaire célèbre le renouveau et, à cette occasion, la poste suisse a mis en circulation, le 22 janvier 2026, une jolie série (incluant des parties imprimées avec une encre dorée) illustrant cette année du cheval de feu.
On February 17, 2026, millions of people around the world celebrated the Lunar New Year, which marked the beginning of the new year in many Asian countries, including China.
The date is determined by the lunar cycle, so the Lunar New Year falls on a different date each year between late January and mid-February. It marks the beginning of a new year in the Chinese zodiac, each year being associated with an animal.
2026 is the Year of the Horse (associated with the fire element), which, in Chinese astrology, symbolizes energy, dynamism, and agility.
Multicolored lanterns, festive music, and vibrant colors: this traditional Lunar New Year celebrates renewal, and to mark the occasion, the Swiss Post released a beautiful series of stamps (including parts printed with gold ink) on January 22, 2026, illustrating this Year of the Fire Horse.
Ces 2 timbres autocollants (1,20 CHF, 2,50 CHF), conçus par Catherine Pearson, ont été utilisés sur la lettre ci-dessus avec TAD Premier Jour (lanterne et croix du drapeau suisse) de Berne. Merci beaucoup Jürgen !
Au premier coup d'œil, le motif coloré attire le regard. En y regardant de plus près, on découvre de petits détails : des motifs inspirés de l'art populaire chinois et suisse, ainsi que des motifs floraux (edelweiss...) qui unissent les deux cultures.
Ces petites œuvres d'art mêlent symbolisme traditionnel et design
moderne tout en mettant à l'honneur l'année du cheval en Suisse.
Catherine Pearson a puisé son inspiration dans l'élégance du cheval, la puissance de l'élément feu et la richesse ornementale de l'art chinois.
C'est la première fois que la poste suisse consacre une émissions de timbres à ce Nouvel An lunaire chinois même si ces 2 timbres ne font pas partie du programme philatélique officiel. Ces timbres comportent ainsi la mention "Helvetia+".
A noter que ces 2 timbres ont également été imprimés dans un feuillet spécial, en forme de lanterne traditionnelle, composé de 6 timbres (3 paires).
These two self-adhesive stamps (CHF 1.20, CHF 2.50), designed by Catherine Pearson, have been used on the cover above with First Day cancellations (lantern and cross of the Swiss flag) from Bern. Thank you very much, Jürgen!
At first glance, the colorful design catches the eye. Upon closer inspection, one discovers small details: motifs inspired by Chinese and Swiss folk art, as well as floral patterns (edelweiss, etc.) that unite the two cultures.
These small works of art blend traditional symbolism and modern design while celebrating the Year of the Horse in Switzerland.
Catherine Pearson drew her inspiration from the elegance of the horse, the power of the fire element, and the ornamental richness of Chinese art.
This is the first time the Swiss Post has dedicated a stamp issue to this Chinese Lunar New Year, even though these two stamps are not part of the official philatelic program. These stamps therefore bear the inscription "Helvetia+".
To note that these two stamps were also printed in a special sheetlet, in the shape of a traditional lantern, composed of 6 stamps (3 pairs).
