Merci beaucoup Jens pour cette très intéressante lettre mêlant histoire (500 ans du festival "Annaberger Kät") et actualité à travers ces empreintes concernant la lutte contre la pandémie de Covid-19 !
A partir du 1er juillet 2020 (et pour une durée indéterminée), 73 centres de tri ("Briefzentrum") à travers toute l'Allemagne ont en effet proposé une empreinte mécanique spéciale incluant le slogan "Gemeinsam gegen Corona / Sich selbst und andere schützen..." ("Ensemble contre le Corona / Protégez-vous et les autres..."), accompagné d'un cœur réconfortant.
Cette empreinte de forme carrée doit normalement remplacer la série de 6 vagues imprimée juste à la gauche du TAD du Briefzentrum, ce qui n'a curieusement pas été le cas sur cette lettre qui a transité par le Briefzentrum 32 situé à Herford, le 6 juillet 2020...

From July 1, 2020 (and for an indefinite period), 73 mail sorting centers ("Briefzentrum") across Germany have indeed offered a special mechanical footprint including the slogan "Gemeinsam gegen Corona / Sich selbst und andere schützen ..." ("Together Against Corona / Protect Yourself and Others ..."), accompanied by a comforting heart.
This square-shaped footprint should normally replace the series of 6 waves printed just to the left of the Briefzentrum's round postmark, which was curiously not the case on this letter which passed through the Briefzentrum 32 located in Herford on July 6, 2020 ...

Cette empreinte a été ici appliquée à 2 reprises de façon manuelle sur les 3 timbres identiques de la série courante "fleurs" à gauche (phlox - 0,05€, émis le 13 avril 2017).
Le timbre à 0,95€ (conception : Andrew et Jeffrey Goldstein), émis le 4 juin 2020, est consacré au 500ème anniversaire du "Annaberger Kät", considéré aujourd'hui comme le plus important festival traditionnel et populaire de la région des Monts Métallifères, dans le sud-est de l'Allemagne, proche de la frontière tchèque.

Les racines de l'Annaberger Kät naissent d'une initiative du duc de Saxe, George le Barbu, qui fonda la ville d'Annaberg en 1496. Afin de la mettre encore plus en valeur, il demanda au pape Léon X l'autorisation de donner au cimetière d'Annaberg une consécration spéciale qui justifierait un pèlerinage.

Le cimetière d'Annaberg est officiellement déclaré champ sacré en 1519 et un pèlerinage y eut lieu pour la 1ère fois en 1520 pour le Festival de la Trinité ("Dreiänichkätsfast").

Ce festival, ayant lieu pendant 14 jours après la Pentecôte, est aujourd'hui beaucoup plus attractif (entre 150000 et 200000 visiteurs chaque année) avec de nombreux manèges (montagnes russes, grande roue...) et feux d'artifice, comme illustrés sur ce timbre.

This footprint was applied here twice manually on the 3 identical stamps of the definitive series "flowers" on the left (phlox flower - € 0.05, issued on April 13, 2017).

The € 0.95 stamp (design: Andrew and Jeffrey Goldstein), issued on June 4, 2020, is dedicated to the 500th anniversary of the "Annaberger Kät", considered today as the most important traditional and folk festival in the Ore Mountains region, in the south-east of Germany, near the Czech border.

The roots of Annaberger Kät are born from an initiative of the Duke of Saxony, George the Bearded, who founded the city of Annaberg in 1496. In order to enhance it even more, he asked Pope Leo X for permission to give the Annaberg cemetery a special consecration that would justify a pilgrimage.

Annaberg cemetery was officially declared a sacred place in 1519 and a pilgrimage took place there for the first time in 1520 for the Festival of the Trinity ("Dreiänichkätsfast").

This festival, taking place for 14 days after Pentecost, is today much more attractive (between 150,000 and 200,000 visitors each year) with many carousels (roller coasters, Ferris wheel ...) and fireworks, as illustrated on this stamp.
