Après les médaillés olympiques coréens, la poste coréenne a mis en circulation, le 31 mai 2018, une série de 6 timbres (330 won), imprimés dans un même feuillet (tirage : 70000), consacrés aux athlètes coréens ayant remporté des médailles lors des jeux paralympiques d'hiver à PyeongChang, organisés du 9 au 18 mars 2018.
La Corée du sud participait à domicile à ses 8èmes jeux paralympiques d'hiver depuis 1992, et n'avait remporté que 2 médailles d'argent (ski alpin en 2002 et curling en fauteuil en 2010).
Lors de ces jeux paralympiques de PyeongChang, l'équipe coréenne (6 femmes, 36 hommes) a marqué l'histoire en remportant sa 1ère médaille d'or, ainsi que 2 médailles de bronze, terminant ces jeux au 16ème rang des nations.
After the Korean Olympic medalists, the Korean Post issued, on May 31, 2018, a series of 6 stamps (330 won each), printed in a same sheetlet (print run: 70,000), dedicated to Korean athletes who won medals at the Paralympic Winter Games in PyeongChang, held from March 9 to 18, 2018.
South Korea participated at home at its 8th Paralympic Winter Games since 1992 and had won only 2 silver medals (alpine skiing in 2002 and wheelchair curling in 2010).
At these PyeongChang Paralympic Games, the Korean team (6 women, 36 men) made history by winning its first gold medal, as well as 2 bronze medals, finishing these games at the 16th rank among nations.

Le héros coréen de ces jeux paralympiques, Sin Eui-hyun (né en 1980), est à l'honneur sur le timbre ci-dessus.
Porte-drapeau de son pays lors de la cérémonie d'ouverture, Sin Eui-hyun, amputé des 2 membres inférieurs, a disputé 7 épreuves (3 en biathlon, 4 en ski de fond) lors de ces jeux de PyeongChang et a remporté 2 médailles, l'or dans l'épreuve de ski de fond assis 7,5 km et le bronze dans l'épreuve de ski de fond assis 15 km.

The Korean hero of these Paralympic games, Sin Eui-hyun (born in 1980), is honored on the stamp above.
Flag bearer of his country at the opening ceremony, Sin Eui-hyun, having had both his lower legs amputated, was engaged in 7 sport events (3 in biathlon, 4 in cross-country skiing) during these PyeongChang games and won 2 medals, gold in the men's 7.5km classical sitting cross-country skiing event and bronze in the men's 15km sitting cross-country skiing event.
Les 5 autres timbres de cette série (4 ci-dessus et 1 ci-dessous) rendent hommage à l'équipe de hockey sur glace paralympique (hockey sur luge) qui a remporté la médaille de bronze, en battant l'Italie (1-0) dans le match pour la 3ème place.
A noter que certaines des 8 équipes engagées dans ce tournoi de hockey étaient mixtes, ce qui n'était pas le cas de l'équipe coréenne (17 hommes) : Kim Dea-jung, Kim Young-sung, Yu Man-gyun, Lee Yong-min, Lee Jae-woong, Lee Jong-kyung, Lee Ju-seung, Lee Ji-hoon, Lee Hae-man, Jang Dong-shin, Jang Jong-ho, Jung Seung-hwan, Cho Byeong-seok, Cho Young-jae, Choi Kwang-hyouk, Choi Si-woo, Han Min-su.
The other 5 stamps in this series (4 above and 1 below) pay tribute to the bronze medal-winning Para Ice Hockey (sledge hockey) team, beating Italy (1- 0) in the game for 3rd place.
