Après une 1ère partie émise en 2014, la Chunghwa Post de Taïwan a mis en circulation, le 23 mai 2018 (année 107 localement), la 2ème partie (4 timbres) d'une série consacrée à différents phares du pays.
J'aime beaucoup cette série (conception : Up Creative Design and Advertising Corporation) évoquant des illustrations de bandes dessinées, avec un style ancien du meilleur goût !
Merci beaucoup George pour ce joli pli Premier Jour ci-dessous concernant cette série complète, avec TAD spécial du bureau postal de Taipei Beimen (phare de Wuchiu Yu). Trois autres TADs ont également été mis en circulation, à Taichung, Tainan et Suao.
Ce phare de Wuchiu Yu (8 NT$), situé au point culminant de l'île Wuchiu Yu dans le canton de Wuchiu, dans le comté de Kinmen (petit archipel au large de la Chine continentale), est de structure ronde en pierre sombre et a été construit en 1874. Pour répondre aux besoins militaires en temps de guerre, ce phare a été fermé en 1954, en fonctionnement à nouveau depuis Juillet 2017.

Thank you very much George for this nice First Day cover below regarding this complete series, with special postmarks from the Taipei Beimen Post Office (Wuchiu Yu Lighthouse). Three other postmarks have been issued, in Taichung, Tainan and Suao.
This Wuchiu Yu lighthouse (NT $ 8), located at the highest point of Wuchiu Yu Island in Kinmen County (small archipelago off mainland China), is of dark stone round structure and was built in 1874. To meet military needs in wartime, this lighthouse was closed in 1954, in operation again since July 2017.
Le phare de Kaomei (8 NT$), situé sur la côte ouest de l'île, au nord du port de Taichung, a été construit en 1967. Ce phare, avec une structure octogonale en béton armé avec des bandes horizontales rouges et blanches, est actuellement hors service, mais les habitants le considèrent comme un important site culturel.
Le phare de Suao (12 NT$), situé dans le comté de Yilan (côte nord-est de l'île), est une tour carrée en béton armé blanc, construit en 1927. Les bombardements pendant la Seconde Guerre mondiale l'ont endommagé et il a été ensuite réparé et remis en service en 1949.
Le phare d'Anping (15 NT$), situé sur une plage au nord du port d'Anping dans la ville de Tainan (sud-ouest de l'île), a été construit en 1872 puis reconstruit en 1909. Tombé en panne, il a été déplacé en 1965 à son emplacement actuel et reconstruit à partir d'une structure (conique et carrée) composée d'éléments en acier.
The Kaomei lighthouse (NT $ 8), located on the west coast of the island, north of Taichung Harbor, was built in 1967. This lighthouse, with an octagonal reinforced concrete structure and red and white horizontal stripes, is currently out of service, but locals consider it as an important cultural site.
The Suao lighthouse (NT $ 12), located in Yilan County (northeast coast of the island), is a square tower of white reinforced concrete, built in 1927. The bombings during the Second World War have damaged it and it was then repaired and put back into commission in 1949.
The Anping Lighthouse (NT $ 15), located on a beach north of Anping Harbor in Tainan City (southwest of the island), was built in 1872 and rebuilt in 1909. Out of commission, it was moved in 1965 to its present location and rebuilt from a (conical and square) structure composed of steel elements.
