Comme de coutume, la poste serbe a mis en circulation le 9 mai 2019 (Journée de l'Europe) sa série EUROPA (2 timbres) consacrée cette année au thème des "oiseaux nationaux" ("nacionalne ptice" en serbe), au tichodrome échelette et au héron crabier en particulier.
Un grand merci Branislav pour cette jolie lettre, avec TAD Premier Jour de Belgrade, concernant ces 2 timbres EUROPA!
A noter que ces 2 timbres (conception : Boban Savić), très jolis, ont été imprimés chacun en feuillet composé de 8 timbres + 1 vignette centrale représentant chaque oiseau, ailes déployées.
Le logo EUROPA, inclus sur les timbres, figure également sur les vignettes (cf exemples ci-dessous) ainsi que dans la marge supérieure de chaque feuillet.
As usual, the Serbian Post has put into circulation on May 9, 2019 (Europe Day) its EUROPA set (2 stamps) devoted this year to the theme of "national birds" ("nacionalne ptice" in Serbian), the wallcreeper and the squacco heron in particular.
A big thank you Branislav for this nice letter, with First Day postmarks from Belgrade, regarding these two EUROPA stamps!
To note that these two stamps (design: Boban Savić), very nice, were each printed in a sheetlet of 8 stamps + 1 central label representing each bird, with outspread wings.
The EUROPA logo, included on the stamps, is also present on the two labels (see examples below) as well as in the top margin of each sheetlet.
Même si semble-t-il, l'aigle et le vautour fauve sont considérés comme des oiseaux nationaux en Serbie, la poste serbe a choisi de mettre à l'honneur sur cette série EUROPA 2 autre espèces dont le tichodrome échelette - Tichodroma muraria ("Puzgavac" en serbe) sur le timbre à 69 dinars (tirage : 50000).
Ce petit oiseau, caractérisé par ses plumes de couleur rouge vif sur les ailes, vit dans les hautes montagnes, entre 1 000 et 3 000 m d'altitude, du sud et du centre de l'Europe jusqu'en Chine.
La population en Serbie est stable et les principaux lieux de reproduction se trouvent dans les montagnes de l'est et de l'ouest de la Serbie.
L'autre timbre (100 dinars, tirage : 45000) est consacré au héron crabier - Ardeola ralloides ("Žuta čaplja" en serbe), une espèce d'échassier de taille moyenne, considérée comme menacée par l'UICN.
En Serbie, cet oiseau niche (en colonies) principalement dans la réserve naturelle spéciale du "Haut Danube", dans le nord du pays, près de la frontière avec la Hongrie.
Although it seems that the eagle and the griffon vulture are considered as national birds in Serbia, the Serbian Post has chosen to highlight on this EUROPA series two other bird species including the wallcreeper - Tichodroma muraria ( "Puzgavac" in Serbian) on the stamp at 69 dinars (print run: 50,000).
This small bird, characterized by its bright red feathers on the wings, lives in the high mountains, between 1000 and 3000 m altitude, from southern and central Europe to China.
The population in Serbia is stable and the main breeding grounds are in the mountains of eastern and western Serbia.
The other stamp (100 dinars, print run: 45,000) is dedicated to the squacco heron - Ardeola ralloides ("Žuta čaplja" in Serbian), a species of mid-sized wading bird, considered threatened by IUCN.
In Serbia, this bird nests (in colonies) mainly in the special "Upper Danube" nature reserve, in the north of the country, near the border with Hungary.
