Série "Jeux olympiques et paralympiques Paris 2024" sur lettre de Slovaquie
Le 28 juin 2024, la poste slovaque a mis en circulation une jolie série (2 timbres) consacrée aux jeux olympiques et paralympiques de Paris 2024 organisés respectivement du 26 juillet au 11 août 2024 et du 28 août au 8 septembre 2024.
Ces 2 timbres se-tenant (1,50€) illustrant des épreuves de tir à l'arc, ont été utilisés sur la lettre ci-dessous envoyée le 6 juillet 2024 depuis la petite ville de Rožňavské Bystré (centre-est du pays). Merci beaucoup Miloš !
Conçus par Igor Piačka et imprimés dans une même feuille composée de 20 paires, ces 2 timbres (tirage : 100000) arborent les couleurs du drapeau français avec la Tour Eiffel au centre, ainsi que les emblèmes des comités olympiques et paralympiques slovaques.
On June 28, 2024, the Slovak Post put into circulation an attractive set (2 stamps) dedicated to the Paris 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games organized respectively from July 26 to August 11, 2024 and from August 28 to September 8, 2024.
These two se-tenant stamps (€1.50) illustrating archery events, have been used on the cover below sent on July 6, 2024 from the small town of Rožňavské Bystré (central-eastern part of the country). Thank you very much Miloš!
Designed by Igor Piačka and printed in the same sheet composed of 20 pairs, these two stamps (print run: 100,000) feature the colors of the French flag with the Eiffel Tower in the center, as well as the emblems of the Slovak Olympic and Paralympic committees.
Le tir à l'arc a été inscrit aux jeux olympiques de 1900, 1904, 1908 et 1920. Il a été l'un des premiers sports de l'histoire olympique à inclure des épreuves réservées aux femmes, qui ont été introduites aux jeux de Saint-Louis (États-Unis) en 1904. Après les jeux de 1920, le tir à l'arc a été retiré du programme des Jeux olympiques en raison de l'absence de règles claires et d'une organisation internationale unifiée. Il n'a réapparu aux jeux olympiques que plus de 50 ans plus tard, aux jeux de Munich en 1972.
A Paris, la Slovaquie est représentée aux jeux olympiques par 28 athlètes engagés dans 13 sports, dont Denisa Baránková en tir à l'arc (sa 2ème olympiade après Tokyo), et par 26 athlètes engagés dans 8 sports aux jeux paralympiques, dont Marcel Pavlík en tir à l'arc paralympique (sa 3ème participation après Rio et Tokyo).
Archery was included in the Olympic Games in 1900, 1904, 1908 and 1920. It was one of the first sports in the Olympic history to include events for female competitors, which were introduced at the Games at St. Louis (USA) in 1904. After the Games of 1920 archery was taken out of the programme of the Olympics due to a lack of clear-cut rules and the absence of a united international organisation. It only returned to the Olympic Games more than 50 years later at the Games in Munich in 1972.
In Paris, Slovakia is represented at the Olympic Games by 28 athletes competing in 13 sports, including Denisa Baránková in archery (her 2nd Olympiad after Tokyo), and by 26 athletes competing in 8 sports at the Paralympic Games, including Marcel Pavlík in Paralympic archery (his 3rd participation after Rio and Tokyo).
