Le 8 août 1967 à Bangkok, 5 pays (Indonésie, Malaisie, Philippines, Singapour, Thaïlande) fondaient l'Association des Nations de l'Asie du Sud-Est (ASEAN), une organisation politique, économique et culturelle ayant pour objectif de faire barrage aux mouvements communistes, de développer la croissance et le développement et d'assurer la stabilité dans la région, dans un contexte de guerre froide.
L'ASEAN est aujourd'hui composée de 10 pays membres, après les adhésions de Brunei Darussalam en 1984, du Vietnam en 1995, du Laos en 1997, du Myanmar en 1997 et du Cambodge en 1999, un ensemble de 625 millions d'habitants (9% de la population mondiale) et la 7ème puissance économique mondiale.
En 2007, une première émission commune (10 timbres différents) consacrée à des édifices emblématiques de chaque pays, avait été mise en circulation pour célébrer le 40ème anniversaire de l'ASEAN.
On August 8, 1967 in Bangkok, five countries (Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand) founded the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN), a political, economic and cultural organization whose principal aims include accelerating economic growth, social progress, and sociocultural evolution among its members, alongside the protection of regional stability, in the context of the Cold War.
ASEAN is today composed of 10 member countries, after the accession of Brunei Darussalam in 1984, Vietnam in 1995, Laos in 1997, Myanmar in 1997 and Cambodia in 1999, an entity of 625 million inhabitants (9% of the world's population) and the 7th largest economy in the world. 
In 2007, a first joint issue (10 different stamps) dedicated to emblematic buildings in each country was put into circulation to celebrate the 40th anniversary of ASEAN.

La dernière émission commune impliquant les 10 pays membres de l'ASEAN datait de 2019 et avait pour thème les costumes traditionnels.
Depuis 2017, le logo "ASEAN Post" est présent sur ces timbres communs.
Le 8 août 2024, en référence à la date de création de l'ASEAN (57ème anniversaire), une nouvelle émission commune "ASEAN Post" a été mise en circulation, illustrant la thématique des bureaux de poste principaux de chacun des 10 pays.
L'administration postale de la République de l'Union du Myanmar a émis ce jour-là un joli timbre consacré au bureau de poste principal de Naypyidaw (ou Nay Pyi Taw).
The last joint issue involving the 10 ASEAN member countries was in 2019 and had the theme of traditional costumes.
Since 2017, the "ASEAN Post" logo has been present on these joint stamps.
On August 8, 2024, in reference to the date of the creation of ASEAN (57th anniversary), a new "ASEAN Post" joint issue was put into circulation, illustrating the theme of the general post offices of each of the 10 countries.
On that day, the postal administration of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar issued an attractive stamp dedicated to the central post office of Naypyidaw (or Nay Pyi Taw).

Ce timbre (200 MMK, tirage : 200000), imprimé en feuille de 50 timbres, a été utilisé en 4 exemplaires sur les 2 FDCs différents ci-dessus envoyés en recommandé, avec TADs du bureau de poste principal de Yangon, capitale économique et plus grande ville du pays. Merci beaucoup Thein !
Sur décision de la junte au pouvoir, la capitale du pays a été déplacée à partir de novembre 2005 à Naypyidaw, dans le centre du pays (région de Mandalay).
Le bureau de poste principal de Naypyidaw (sa façade rouge est représentée sur ce timbre) est donc récent, inauguré le 27 juin 2007 dans le quartier de Zabuthiri.
This stamp (200 MMK, print run: 200,000), printed in a sheet of 50 stamps, was used in four copies on the two different FDCs above sent by registered mail, with postmarks from the general post office (GPO) in Yangon, the economic capital and largest city of the country. Thank you very much Thein!
By decision of the ruling junta, the capital of the country was moved from November 2005 to Naypyidaw, in the center of the country (Mandalay region).
The central post office in Naypyidaw (its red facade is shown on this stamp) is therefore recent, inaugurated on June 27, 2007 in the Zabuthiri district.
