EUROPA 2024 (Underwater Fauna and Flora) s/s on cover from Bosnia & Herzegovina (Pošte Srpske)

Bloc-feuillet EUROPA 2024 (Faune et flore subaquatiques) sur lettre de Bosnie-Herzégovine (Pošte Srpske)

Pour rappel, le thème choisi par l'association PostEurop pour les timbres EUROPA émis en 2024, la faune et flore subaquatiques ("Подводна флора и фауна" en serbe) met en lumière la biodiversité des eaux européennes qui souffrent de la surpêche, de la pollution et du changement climatique et qui doivent être protégées pour les générations futures. 
Le 17 juin 2024, la poste de la Republika Srpska (Pošte Srpske), l'un des 3 opérateurs postaux de la Bosnie-Herzégovine (BiH), avec la poste de la Fédération de BiH de Sarajevo et la poste croate de Mostar (HP Mostar), a mis en circulation 2 timbres illustrant ce thème, en particulier une espèce de poisson d'eau douce et une plante aquatique. 
Ces 2 timbres (1,95 BAM et 3,30 BAM, tirage : 10000 chacun), conçus par Tanja Кuruzović, ont été imprimés chacun dans un feuillet (8 timbres + 1 vignette) ainsi que dans un même bloc-feuillet (tirage : 8000).  
Un grand merci Miro pour cette jolie lettre envoyée le 27 juin 2024 depuis Istočno Sarajevo, affranchie avec ce bloc-feuillet EUROPA ! 
As a reminder, the theme chosen by the PostEurop association for the EUROPA stamps issued in 2024, underwater fauna and flora ("Подводна флора и фауна" in Serbian) highlights the biodiversity of European waters which suffer from overfishing, pollution and climate change and which must be protected for future generations.
On June 17, 2024, the Post of the Republika Srpska (Pošte Srpske), one of the 3 postal operators of Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH), together with the Post of the Federation of BiH in Sarajevo and the Croatian Post in Mostar (HP Mostar), put into circulation two stamps illustrating this theme, in particular a species of freshwater fish and an aquatic plant.
These two stamps (1.95 BAM and 3.30 BAM, print run: 10,000 each), designed by Tanja Кuruzović, were each printed in a sheetlet (8 stamps + 1 label) as well as in the same souvenir sheet (print run: 8,000).

L'utriculaire commune (Utricularia vulgaris) est une plante vivace immergée à fleurs jaunes avec une tige ramifiée qui flotte librement dans l'eau sans développer de véritables racines et qui peut atteindre deux mètres de long. Les feuilles présentent des cloques caractéristiques qui servent à attraper des proies, ce qui fait de cette espèce un groupe carnivore.
L'espèce est répandue dans les eaux stagnantes et à faible débit. C'est une espèce strictement protégée en Bosnie-Herzégovine.
La tanche (Tinca tinca Linnaeus) est un poisson d'eau douce de la famille des carpes qui a un corps moyennement allongé et des nageoires arrondies. La couleur varie du brun au vert et dépend de l'habitat. Des yeux rouges ressortent sur la tête et un petit tentacule sur le côté de la bouche. Il atteint une longueur de 60 cm et un poids de 6 kg.
La tanche est un poisson lent qui évolue dans des eaux stagnantes et à faible débit avec un fond boueux. C'est une espèce répandue dans le pays, mais elle est également strictement protégée.
Common bladderwort (Utricularia vulgaris) is a submerged perennial plant with yellow flowers and a branched stem that floats freely in the water without developing true roots and can reach two meters in length. The leaves have characteristic blisters that are used to catch prey, making this species a carnivorous group.
The species is widespread in stagnant and slow-flowing waters. It is a strictly protected species in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Tench (Tinca tinca Linnaeus) is a freshwater fish of the carp family that has a moderately elongated body and rounded fins. The color varies from brown to green and depends on the habitat. Red eyes stand out on the head and a small tentacle on the side of the mouth. It reaches a length of 60 cm and a weight of 6 kg.
Tench is a slow-moving fish that lives in stagnant and slow-flowing waters with a muddy bottom. It is a widespread species in the country, but it is also strictly protected.
