"Arab Inter-Parliamentary Union - 50th anniversary" stamps on FDC from Algeria

Timbres "50 ans de l'Union parlementaire arabe" sur FDC d'Algérie

Fondée le 21 juin 1974 à Damas, l'Union parlementaire arabe est une organisation parlementaire panarabe composée de sections représentant les institutions parlementaires des 22 pays membres de la Ligue arabe, qui vise à promouvoir la solidarité et la coopération arabe commune, à unifier les positions parlementaires arabes dans les forums internationaux et à œuvrer à l'harmonisation des législations dans les pays arabes. 
Dans le cadre de la 36ème conférence de l'Union parlementaire arabe organisé du 25 au 27 mai 2024 à Alger, la poste algérienne a mis en circulation le 28 mai 2024 (vente générale) un timbre consacré au 50ème anniversaire de cette Union parlementaire arabe.
Ce timbre (50 DZD), conçu en collaboration avec l'Assemblée populaire nationale algérienne, a été utilisé en 2 exemplaires sur la lettre ci-dessous avec TAD Premier Jour du 26 mai 2024. Merci beaucoup Zine ! 
Founded on June 21, 1974 in Damascus, the Arab Inter-Parliamentary Union is a pan-Arab parliamentary organization composed of sections representing the parliamentary institutions of the 22 member countries of the Arab League, which aims to promote solidarity and common Arab cooperation, to unify Arab parliamentary positions in international forums and to work towards the harmonization of legislation in Arab countries.
As part of the 36th conference of the Arab Inter-Parliamentary Union organized from May 25 to 27, 2024 in Algiers, the Algerian Post put into circulation on May 28, 2024 (general sale) a stamp dedicated to the 50th anniversary of this Arab Inter-Parliamentary Union.
This stamp (50 DZD), designed in collaboration with the Algerian National People's Assembly, was used in two copies on the cover below with First Day cancellation of May 26, 2024. Thank you very much Zine!

Ce timbre comporte les drapeaux des 22 pays membres de la Ligue arabe avec au centre l'emblème de cette Union parlementaire arabe (également reproduit sur le TAD).
A noter que l'Algérie organisait cette conférence pour la 5ème fois, après 1981, 1991, 2000 et 2005.
Cette Union parlementaire arabe ne doit pas être confondue avec le parlement arabe, un parlement créé après le sommet de la Ligue arabe de 2001. Il s'agit d'un parlement provisoire qui vise à mettre sur pied un parlement permanent, où les députés (67 au total) seront élus sur le modèle du Parlement européen.
This stamp features the flags of the 22 member countries of the Arab League with the emblem of this Arab Inter-Parliamentary Union in the center (also reproduced on the postmarks).
It should be noted that Algeria was organizing this conference for the 5th time, after 1981, 1991, 2000 and 2005.
This Arab Inter-Parliamentary Union should not be confused with the Arab Parliament, a parliament created after the Arab League summit of 2001. It is a provisional parliament that aims to establish a permanent parliament, where the deputies (67 in total) will be elected on the model of the European Parliament.
