Ces relations interdétroit désignent les relations entre la Chine continentale, située à l'ouest du détroit de Taïwan, et Taïwan, situé à l'est, et leurs gouvernements respectifs, la République Populaire de Chine et la République de Chine (Taïwan).
Pour rappel, lorsque la guerre civile chinoise tourna en faveur des communistes, le gouvernement de la république de Chine, dirigé par le Kuomintang, se retira en 1949 à Taïwan, alors que le Parti Communiste Chinois proclamait la République populaire de Chine à Pékin.
Depuis cette décision, les relations entre les 2 rives sont tendues, Pékin considérant Taïwan comme faisant partie de la Chine et seulement 20 pays dans le monde ont officiellement des relations diplomatiques avec Taïwan.
These Cross-Strait relations refer to the relations between mainland China, located west of the Taiwan Strait, and Taiwan, to the east, and their respective governments, the People's Republic of China and the Republic of China (Taiwan).
As a reminder, when the Chinese civil war turned in favor of the Communists, the government of the Republic of China, led by the Kuomintang, withdrew in 1949 to Taiwan, while the Chinese Communist Party proclaimed the People's Republic of China in Beijing.
Since this decision, relations between the two shores are strained, Beijing considering Taiwan as part of China and only 20 countries in the world having officially diplomatic relations with Taiwan.
Malgré ces tensions, les 2 entités ont choisi en 1987 d'autoriser les réunions de familles entre les 2 rives du détroit (mesurant 180 km en moyenne).
Afin de célébrer ces 30 ans d'échanges interdétroit, la Chunghwa Post de Taïwan a mis en circulation, le 20 septembre 2017, une série de 2 timbres (conception : Up Creative Design and Advertising Corporation, tirage : 800000 chacun).
Ces 2 timbres figurent sur le FDC officiel ci-dessus. Merci beaucoup George !
Le timbre à 9 NT$ illustre ce détroit de Taïwan et les liaisons (maritimes et aériennes) et différents types de relations entre les 2 rives (postales, touristiques, éducatives, financières), que l'on retrouve également sur le TAD spécial.

In order to celebrate these 30 years of Cross-Strait exchanges, the Chunghwa Post of Taiwan put into circulation, on September 20, 2017, a series of 2 stamps (design: Up Creative Design and Advertising Corporation, print run: 800,000 each).

The NT $ 9 stamp illustrates this Strait of Taiwan as well as the links (sea and air) and various types of relations between the 2 banks (postal, tourist, academic, financial), which one also finds on the special cancellation.
Le timbre à 28 NT$ figure également sur le 2ème pli Premier Jour ci-dessus, représentant une passerelle symbolique au-dessus de ce détroit, avec ces différents personnages illustrant les types de relations entre les 2 rives. A noter ce nombre "30" dans le fond montrant une carte de ce détroit.
Le TAD, différent du précédent, reprend les éléments du timbre.
The NT $ 28 stamp was also used on the 2nd First Day cover above, representing a symbolic gateway over this Strait, with these different characters illustrating the types of relations between the two banks. To note this number "30" in the background containing a map of this Strait.
The postmark, different from the previous one, is featuring the elements of the stamp.
