Le 4 octobre 2017, la poste tchèque a mis en circulation un timbre simplement intitulé "Famille" ("Rodina" en tchèque), représentant une famille type, un père, une mère, une fille et un garçon, mise en scène sur un tandem.
Conçu par Kristýna Valtrová et gravé par Bohumil Šneider, ce timbre (16 CZK) figure sur le FDC officiel ci-dessous (tirage : 3400), avec TAD de Prague (un chien couché avec trèfle à 4 feuilles). Merci beaucoup Bret !
L'illustration sur l'enveloppe évoque une autre famille (couple avec 3 enfants, un chien et un chat) sous une tente de camping.
Contrairement aux 15 pays européens (dont 13 membres de l'UE) autorisant le mariage de même sexe, la République Tchèque reconnaît toutefois une forme d'union civile depuis 2006.
