100 ans de Disney et 75 ans de Pif le chien sur lettre de France

Le 16 octobre 1923, Walt Disney (1901-1966) fonda officiellement à Los Angeles le "Disney Brothers Cartoon Studio" (qui deviendra plus tard "The Walt Disney Company"), son premier studio d'animation, qui révolutionna dès sa création l'industrie du divertissement.
En près d'un siècle, Disney a inventé de nouvelles manières de raconter des histoires et a donné naissance à quelques-uns des personnages les plus emblématiques, Mickey Mouse en particulier, qui sont entrés aujourd'hui au panthéon de la culture populaire. 
Le 9 octobre 2023 (vente générale), la poste française a mis en circulation un timbre (1,16€, tirage : 705000), imprimé en feuillet de 10 timbres, consacré au 100ème anniversaire de Disney.
Ce timbre, avec une partie de marge illustrée (Peter Pan), a été utilisé à droite sur cette enveloppe envoyée le 17 janvier 2024 depuis le Service des oblitérations philatéliques à Boulazac (24) où Philaposte imprime les timbres du programme philatélique français et certains timbres de nombreux autres pays (Maroc, Monaco, Vatican, Taïwan, Japon, Luxembourg...).
A noter que des timbres consacrés aux 100 ans de Disney ont également été émis en 2023 en Suisse, Allemagne, Australie et Pays-Bas.  
On October 16, 1923, Walt Disney (1901-1966) officially founded the "Disney Brothers Cartoon Studio" (which later became "The Walt Disney Company") in Los Angeles, his first animation studio, which revolutionized the entertainment industry.
In nearly a century, Disney invented new ways to tell stories and created some of the most iconic characters, Mickey Mouse in particular, who have entered the pantheon of popular culture today.
On October 9, 2023 (general sale), the French Post put into circulation a stamp (€1.16, print run: 705,000), printed in a sheetlet of 10 stamps, dedicated to the 100th anniversary of Disney.
This stamp, with part of an illustrated margin (Peter Pan), was used on the right on this envelope sent on January 17, 2024 from the Philatelic Postmark Service in Boulazac (24) where Philaposte prints the stamps of the French philatelic program and also stamps from other countries (Morocco, Monaco, Vatican, Taiwan, Japan, Luxembourg...).
To note that stamps dedicated to Disney's 100th anniversary were also issued in 2023 in Switzerland, Germany, Australia and the Netherlands.

 

Ce timbre représente au centre Mickey Mouse et Minnie Mouse ainsi que d"autres personnages de Disney : Dingo, Pluto, Daisy Duck et Donald Duck, Riri, Fifi et Loulou Duck, Tic et Tac.
L'autre timbre (1,16€, tirage : 705000), émis le 27 mars 2023 (vente générale), est consacré au 75ème anniversaire de la création du personnage de bande dessinée Pif le chien.
Imprimé en feuillet de 12 timbres, il s'agit du premier timbre Strip émis en France.
Pif le chien est né en 1948 sous le crayon de l'espagnol José Cabrero Arnal, au rythme d'un Strip quotidien publié dans le journal communiste l'Humanité, créé par Jean Jaurès. Pif finira par donner son nom au magazine Vaillant, véritable creuset de la bande dessinée francophone.
Arnal, le père de Pif le chien et aussi du chat Hercule (représentés tous les deux sur ce timbre) mais aussi de bien d'autres personnages créés en Espagne, en France et même en Roumanie, est un des auteurs majeurs de la bande dessinée française et européenne.
Mircea Arapu, le dessinateur de ce timbre, a connu Arnal et fut l'un des pionniers de l'aventure Pif dans les années 1980.

The other stamp (€1.16, print run: 705,000), issued on March 27, 2023 (general sale), is dedicated to the 75th anniversary of the creation of the comic book character "Pif le chien".
Printed in a sheetlet of 12 stamps, this is the first Strip stamp ever issued in France.
Pif le chien (Pif the dog) was born in 1948 under the pencil of the Spaniard José Cabrero Arnal, to the rhythm of a daily strip published in the Communist newspaper l'Humanité, created by Jean Jaurès. Pif will end up giving his name to the magazine Vaillant, a true melting pot of French-speaking comics.
Arnal, the father of Pif le chien and also of the cat Hercules (both represented on this stamp) but also of many other characters created in Spain, France and even Romania, is one of the major authors of French and European comics.
Mircea Arapu, the designer of this stamp, knew Arnal and was one of the pioneers of the Pif adventure in the 1980s.
