Merci beaucoup Petra pour cette impressionnante lettre, envoyée le 16 août 2018 depuis Ljubljana, la capitale de la Slovénie, affranchie avec 3 séries de timbres distinctes : jeux olympiques d'hiver de PyeongChang 2018, Euromed Postal 2018 et EUROPA 2018 !
A PyeongChang, l'équipe slovène était composée de 71 athlètes (52 hommes, 19 femmes) engagés dans 9 disciplines, dont 25 en hockey sur glace masculin et 11 en ski alpin, les 2 disciplines illustrées sur les 2 timbres (conception : Zadrga d.o.o., tirage : 40000 chacun) émis le 26 janvier 2018, à gauche sur cette enveloppe.
Ces 2 timbres (1€ et 1,15€), incluant l'emblème du comité olympique slovène, ont été imprimés dans un même feuillet composé de 6 timbres (3 de chaque) et 3 vignettes centrales, comme celle utilisée ici.
Lors de ces jeux d'hiver, la Slovénie n'a remporté que 2 médailles (1 argent, 1 bronze) en biathlon et en snowboard, une petite déception après les 8 médailles (dont 2 en or) lors des jeux de Sotchi en 2014.

In PyeongChang, the Slovenian team consisted of 71 athletes (52 men, 19 women) engaged in 9 disciplines, including 25 in men's ice hockey and 11 in alpine skiing, the 2 disciplines illustrated on both stamps (design: Zadrga d.o.o., print run: 40,000 each) issued on January 26, 2018, to the left on this envelope.
These 2 stamps (€ 1.00 and € 1.15), including the emblem of the Slovenian Olympic Committee, were printed in the same sheetlet of 6 stamps (3 of each) and 3 central labels, such as the one used here.
During these winter games, Slovenia won only 2 medals (1 silver, 1 bronze) in biathlon and snowboarding, a small disappointment after the 8 medals (including 2 in gold) won at the Sochi Games in 2014.
Le timbre du milieu (1,26€, conception : Andraž Jenkole) est le timbre Euromed Postal émis cette année, le 9 juillet 2018, consacré au thème des "maisons de Méditerranée", la maison "Škrateljnova domačija" ici, la plus ancienne ferme préservée de la région du Karst en Slovénie, construite au 17ème siècle non loin du centre de la ville de Divača (sud-ouest du pays, non loin de la frontière italienne).
Divača est connue pour abriter également les célèbres grottes de Škocjan, classées au patrimoine mondial de l'UNESCO.
Les 2 derniers timbres (conception : FORMA6, tirage : 50000 chacun) à droite constituent la série EUROPA émise cette année (le 25 mai) par la poste slovène, illustrant le thème des ponts, le pont des cordonniers à Ljubljana (1,15€) et le pont Puh à Ptuj (1,26€).
Le pont des cordonniers (pour piétons et cyclistes) est un ouvrage emblématique du centre de Ljubljana, construit entre 1931 et 1932 sur la rivière Ljubljanica par l'architecte Jože Plečnik. Ce pont devait initialement être couvert, expliquant la présence de ces colonnes.
Le pont Puh (430 mètres de long) a été construit en béton entre 2005 et 2007 sur la rivière Drave, sur la municipalité de Ptuj (nord-est du pays). Ce pont est un des ouvrages les plus importants construits après l'indépendance du pays et l'implantation d'un réseau routier (entre 1994 et 2011) et de près de 210 ponts.
The stamp in the middle (€ 1.26, design: Andraž Jenkole) is the Euromed Postal stamp issued this year, on July 9, 2018, dedicated to the theme of "Houses in the Mediterranean", the house "Škrateljnova domačija" here, the oldest preserved farmhouse of the Karst region in Slovenia, built in the 17th century not far from the center of the city of Divača (south-west of the country, not far from the Italian border).
Divača is also known for its famous Škocjan Caves, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
The last 2 stamps (design: FORMA6, print run: 50,000 each), on the right, are the EUROPA series issued this year (on May 25th) by the Slovenian Post, illustrating the theme of the bridges, the Cobblers' Bridge in Ljubljana (€ 1.15) and Puh Bridge in Ptuj (€ 1.26).
Cobbler's Bridge (for pedestrians and cyclists) is an emblematic work of art in the center of Ljubljana, built between 1931 and 1932 on the Ljubljanica river by the architect Jože Plečnik. This bridge was originally to be covered, explaining the presence of these columns.
Puh Bridge (430 meters long) was built in concrete between 2005 and 2007 on the Drava river, on the municipality of Ptuj (north-east of the country). This bridge is one of the most important structures built after the independence of the country and the establishment of a motorway network (between 1994 and 2011) and nearly 210 bridges.
