A noter la mention "Cambodge" en français sur les deux TAD alors que les timbres mentionnent "Kingdom of Cambodia" ou "Cambodia" en anglais...
Depuis 2015, la mention "Kingdom of Cambodia" a en effet été remplacée simplement par "Cambodia".
C'est le cas sur le timbre an haut à droite (500 riels), émis le 9 octobre 2015, faisant partie d'une série de 4 timbres + 1 bloc-feuillet, consacrée au temple de Banteay Chhmar (nord-ouest du pays).
Abandonné à la nature durant près de 800 ans, ce complexe de Banteay Chhmar a pourtant sans doute été la seconde cité khmère après Angkor, souvent dégradée ou pillée et n'ayant fait l'objet d'aucune restauration d'ampleur à ce jour...

Since 2015, the words "Kingdom of Cambodia" were actually simply replaced by "Cambodia".
This is the case on the stamp at the top right (500 Riels), issued on October 9, 2015, being part of a series of 4 stamps + 1 souvenir sheet dedicated to the temple of Banteay Chhmar (north-west of the country).
Left to nature for nearly 800 years, this complex of Banteay Chhmar has yet without any doubt been the second Khmer city after Angkor, often degraded or looted and having known no major restoration to date...
Un autre temple, Preah Vihear, est à l'honneur sur les 2 timbres en haut à gauche (300 et 600 riels), faisant partie de 2 séries émises respectivement le 9 novembre 2008 et le 7 juillet 2009, consacrées à l'inscription de ce temple sur la liste du patrimoine mondial de l'UNESCO.
Ce temple, dédié à Shiva, chef-d'œuvre très bien conservé de l'architecture khmère du 11ème siècle, est à l'origine d'un contentieux frontalier avec la Thaïlande voisine...
Le dernier timbre ci-dessus (400 riels) fait partie d'une série de 5 timbres, émise le 25 avril 2003, consacrée à des projets d'infrastructure construits avec l'aide financière du Japon, le pont Chroy Changvar ou "pont de l'amitié Cambodge-Japon" ici, construit en 1966, traversant la rivière Tonlé Sap entre Phnom Penh et la presqu'île de Chrui Changvar.

The last stamp above (400 Riels) is part of a series of 5 stamps, issued on April 25, 2003, devoted to infrastructure projects built with financial assistance from Japan, Chroy Changvar Bridge or "Cambodia-Japan Friendship Bridge" here, built in 1966, crossing the Tonlé Sap river between Phnom Penh and the peninsula of Chrui Changvar.
