TAD "70 ans de la naissance de Josef Dudek" sur lettre de Rép. tchèque
Le 5 janvier 2024, la poste tchèque a mis en circulation un TAD spécial consacré au 70ème anniversaire (jour pour jour) de la naissance de l'artiste graphique et illustrateur Josef Dudek (né le 5 janvier 1954).
Josef Dudek a étudié de 1972 à 1977 à la Faculté d'Éducation de l'Université Palacký d'Olomouc. Après avoir terminé ses études, il se consacre à des activités pédagogiques, mais s'engage également de manière constante dans le graphisme et l'illustration de livres.
Il a réalisé plus de 30 expositions personnelles et participé à plus d'une centaine d'expositions collectives, tant en République tchèque qu'à l'étranger, notamment en Europe, aux États-Unis, au Canada, en Thaïlande et au Japon. Ses œuvres graphiques sont connues pour leur dessin précis et leur représentation de la figure féminine dans diverses situations associées à des motifs dramatiques, naturels et mythologiques.
Josef Dudek est particulièrement apprécié pour son art graphique inhabituel, caractérisé par une exécution précise et un dessin fin. Il utilise souvent la technique de la gravure en combinaison avec la manière noire.
On January 5, 2024, the Czech Post put into circulation a special postmark dedicated to the 70th anniversary (to the day) of the birth of graphic artist and illustrator Josef Dudek (born on January 5, 1954).
Josef Dudek studied from 1972 to 1977 at the Faculty of Education of Palacký University in Olomouc. After completing his studies, he devoted himself to educational activities, but also constantly engaged in graphic design and book illustration.
He has held more than 30 personal exhibitions and participated in more than a hundred group exhibitions, both in the Czech Republic and abroad, notably in Europe, the United States, Canada, Thailand and Japan. His graphic works are known for their precise drawing and depiction of the female figure in various situations associated with dramatic, natural and mythological motifs.
Josef Dudek is particularly appreciated for his unusual graphic art, characterized by precise execution and fine drawing. He often uses the technique of engraving in combination with mezzotint.
Mais Josef Dudek est également l'auteur de 6 timbres émis par la poste tchèque, entre 2009 (bloc-feuillet "Préserver les régions polaires et les glaciers") et 2023 (Université Palacký d'Olomouc).
Parmi ces 6 timbres, un timbre (17 CZK, en partie gravé par Jaroslav Tvrdoň) émis le 16 octobre 2013, consacré au 400ème anniversaire de la Bible de Kralice. Ce timbre a été utilisé en 2 exemplaires sur la lettre ci-dessus sur laquelle ce TAD "70 ans de Josef Dudek" (conception : Pavel Sivko) a été appliqué par le bureau de Prague 1. Ce TAD représente les initiales de Josef Dudek entre 2 cariatides.
A l'initiative des Frères Tchèques ("Unitas Fratrum"), une branche du protestantisme issue de l'église hussite,
la première traduction complète en tchèque de la bible (à partir des
langues bibliques originales : l'hébreu, l'araméen et le grec) a été
imprimée dans la ville de Kralice en Moravie.
La 1ère édition, qui contenait 6 volumes, a été publiée entre 1579 et
1593 mais c'est la troisième traduction, datant de 1613, qui est la plus
largement connue aujourd'hui.
Ce timbre montre une jeune fille à moitié dénudée (pourquoi ?) sous la forme d'un
ange tenant la 1ère page de cette Bible de Kralice, avec la presse à
droite qui a permis son impression. A cette époque, les Frères Tchèques étaient une organisation religieuse
interdite et l'imprimerie fut déplacée dans plusieurs lieux secrets
avant d'être installée dans la forteresse de Kralice en 1578.
But Josef Dudek is also the author of 6 stamps issued by the Czech Post, between 2009 ("Preserve the polar regions and glaciers" souvenir sheet) and 2023 (Palacký University in Olomouc).
Among these 6 stamps, one stamp (17 CZK, partly engraved by Jaroslav Tvrdoň) issued on October 16, 2013, dedicated to the 400th anniversary of the Kralice Bible. This stamp was used in 2 copies on the cover above to which this "Josef Dudek - 70th birthday" postmark (design: Pavel Sivko) was applied by the Prague 1 post office. Thank you very much Slavek!
This postmark represents the initials of Josef Dudek between two caryatids.
At the initiative of the Czech Brethren
("Unitas Fratrum"), a branch of Protestantism from the Hussite Church,
the first complete Czech translation of the Bible (from the original
biblical languages : Hebrew, Aramaic and Greek) was printed in the city
of Kralice in Moravia.
The first edition, which contained six
volumes, was published between 1579 and 1593 but it is the third
translation, dating from 1613, that is the most widely known today.
This stamp features a half naked (why?) girl in
the appearance of an angel holding the title page of this Bible of
Kralice, with the bookbinding press to the right. At that time, the Czech Brethren were a
prohibited religious organization and their print shop was moved to
several secret locations before being installed in the fortress of
Kralice in 1578.
