Après une opération postale spéciale pour le nouvel an 2018, consistant à l'envoi de cartes de vœux depuis le célèbre Mont-Saint-Michel, l'association philatélique Philapostel a eu cette année l'idée originale d'organiser un envoi de cartes de vœux pour l'année 2019 depuis la principauté d'Andorre !
Un TAD (bureau temporaire à Andorre-la-Vieille), une carte et une enveloppe ont en particulier été mis en circulation le 1er janvier 2019 et j'ai eu la chance de recevoir l'exemplaire ci-dessous. Merci beaucoup Jean-Claude !
L'illustration sur cette enveloppe, avec mention "Bonne Année 2019" en catalan, conçue par Elsa Catelin, représente un isard (Rupicapra pyrenaica), l'animal emblématique des Pyrénées et présent sur de nombreux timbres andorrans dans le passé.
After a special postal operation for the New Year 2018, consisting of the sending of greetings cards from the famous Mont-Saint-Michel, the French philatelic association Philapostel this year had the original idea to organize a sending of greeting cards for the year 2019 from the Principality of Andorra!
A special postmark (temporary post office in Andorra la Vella), a card and an envelope were released in particular on January 1, 2019 and I was lucky enough to receive an example below. Thank you very much Jean-Claude!
The illustration on this envelope, with mention "Happy New Year 2019" in Catalan, designed by Elsa Catelin, represents a Pyrenean chamois (Rupicapra pyrenaica), the emblematic animal of the Pyrenees and featured on many Andorran stamps in the past.
Un isard est également représenté sur le TAD, sans mention de lieu précis, alors qu'une autre espèce animale, la loutre commune ("llúdriga" en catalan), est représentée sur le timbre en haut à droite, mis en circulation le 28 septembre 2018 par la poste française en Andorre.
Ce timbre (0,95€, tirage : 70000, conception : Angel Calvente) rappelle que cette espèce (Lutra lutra) est menacée en Andorre mais en voie de repopulation.
L'affranchissement a été complété avec un timbre (0,10€) de la série courante "Armoiries d'Andorre", émise le 4 janvier 2010, afin d'atteindre le nouveau tarif en vigueur au 1er janvier 2019 (1,05€) pour un envoi prioritaire jusqu'à 20g vers la France.
A Pyrenean chamois is also represented on the cancellation, without mention of specific location, while another animal species, the Eurasian otter ("llúdriga" in Catalan), is depicted on the stamp at the top right, put into circulation on September 28, 2018 by the French Post in Andorra.
That stamp (€ 0.95, print run: 70,000, design: Angel Calvente) reminds us that this species (Lutra lutra) is threatened in Andorra but in the process of repopulation.
The postage was completed with a stamp (€ 0.10) of the definitive series "Coat of Arms of Andorra", issued on January 4, 2010, in order to reach the new tariff in effect on January 1, 2019 (€ 1.05) for a priority shipment up to 20g to France.
La carte ci-dessus avec la même illustration que celle reproduite sur l'enveloppe (mais avec mention "Bonne Année 2019" en français), était incluse dans cette enveloppe.
