Le 1er décembre 2018, la poste italienne a mis en circulation 3 timbres autocollants dont 2 consacrés aux festivités de Noël.
Ces 3 timbres figurent sur cette jolie lettre envoyée le 1er jour d'émission de Cuneo (région du Piémont). Merci beaucoup Paolo !
Malheureusement, un employé postal zélé a appliqué de nombreux autres TADs (illisibles) sur cette enveloppe...
Comme de coutume, 2 timbres de Noël ("Natale") ont été émis illustrant un thème laïque et un thème religieux, respectivement une illustration "Noël en famille" (tarif "B zone 1" correspondant à un envoi jusqu'à 20g vers les pays européens et du bassin méditerranéen - 1,15€ actuellement) conçue par le dessinateur et caricaturiste Bruno Prosdocimi (né en 1936) et une reproduction d'une peinture "Vierge avec l'enfant Jésus entre Saint Sébastien et Sainte Marie Madeleine" (tarif domestique "B" - 1,10€ pour un envoi jusqu'à 20g) située dans l'église romane Sainte-Marie-Madeleine de Saturnia (Toscane).
On December 1, 2018, the Italian Post has put into circulation three self-adhesive stamps, two of which being dedicated to the Christmas festivities.
These 3 stamps are present on this nice letter sent the first day of issue from Cuneo (Piedmont region). Thank you very much Paolo!
Unfortunately, a zealous postal employee has applied many other (illegible) postmarks on this envelope ...
As usual, two Christmas ("Natale") stamps have been issued illustrating a secular theme and a religious theme, respectively an illustration "Christmas in family" (postal rate "B zone 1" corresponding to a shipment up to 20g to the European countries and the Mediterranean basin - € 1.15 currently) designed by the illustrator and cartoonist Bruno Prosdocimi (born in 1936) and a reproduction of a painting "Virgin with the child Jesus between Saint Sebastian and Saint Mary Magdalene" (domestic rate "B" - € 1.10 for a shipment up to 20g) located in the Romanesque Church of Santa Maria Maddalena in Saturnia (Tuscany).
Cette fresque (fin du 15ème siècle) est attribuée à Benvenuto di Giovanni (1436- vers 1517), un peintre italien de l'école siennoise du 15ème et 16ème siècle.
Saturnia, rattachée à la municipalité de Manciano, est un ancien site étrusque, connu depuis la Rome antique pour ses thermes en plein air.
Le 3ème timbre ci-dessus (tarif domestique "B" - 1,10€ pour un envoi jusqu'à 20g), conçu par Cristina Bruscaglia, est consacré au 130ème anniversaire de la fédération italienne d'aviron ("Federazione Italiana Canottaggio").
A noter qu'un timbre avait déjà été émis en 2008 pour célébrer les 120 ans de cette même fédération...
Paolo a complété son affranchissement avec un timbre courant (0,15€), émis le 19 septembre 2015, afin d'atteindre le tarif "Posta Priority Internazionale" en vigueur (3,50€ pour un envoi en Europe jusqu'à 50g).

The 3rd stamp above (domestic rate "B" - € 1.10 for a shipment up to 20g), designed by Cristina Bruscaglia, is dedicated to the 130th anniversary of the Italian Rowing Federation ("Federazione Italiana Canottaggio").
To note that a stamp had already been issued in 2008 to celebrate the 120th anniversary of this same federation ...
Paolo completed his postage with a definitive stamp (€ 0.15), issued on September 19, 2015, in order to reach the current "Posta Priority Internazionale" rate (€ 3.50 for a shipment in Europe up to 50g).
