Le 10 décembre 1948, les 58 états membres qui constituaient alors l'Assemblée générale des Nations Unies ont adopté la Déclaration universelle des droits de l'homme à Paris au Palais de Chaillot.
Ce document fondateur - traduit dans plus de 500 langues différentes - continue d'être aujourd'hui une source d'inspiration pour promouvoir l'exercice universel des droits de l'homme à travers le monde.
La Déclaration universelle des droits de l'homme (inspirée par la Déclaration des droits de l'homme et du citoyen de 1789) a permis de fournir des normes pour divers accords et déclarations internationaux et est reflétée dans les constitutions et les lois de pays du monde entier, y compris la France.
Afin de célébrer le 70ème anniversaire de ce texte fondateur, la poste française a mis en circulation le 11 décembre 2018 (vente générale), un timbre spécial (0,88€ - tarif Lettre Verte en vigueur depuis le 1er janvier 2019).
On December 10, 1948, the 58 member states that then constituted the United Nations General Assembly adopted the Universal Declaration of Human Rights in Paris at the Palais de Chaillot.
This founding document - translated into more than 500 different languages - continues to be a source of inspiration today to promote the universal exercise of human rights worldwide.
The Universal Declaration of Human Rights (inspired by the Declaration of the Rights of Man and of the Citizen of 1789) has provided standards for various international agreements and declarations and is reflected in constitutions and laws of countries around the world, including France.
In order to celebrate the 70th anniversary of this founding text, the French Post has put into circulation on December 11, 2018 (general sale), a special stamp (€ 0.88 - Green Letter rate in effect since January 1, 2019).
Ce joli timbre (tirage : 700014), conçu par l'artiste peintre Michel Granger (né en 1946), figure sur le pli Premier Jour ci-dessus, avec TAD de Paris du 10 décembre 2018. Merci beaucoup Joël !
Michel Granger, qui a également conçu le TAD, a signé sur cette enveloppe ainsi que son fils, Vicente Granger, qui a mis en page le timbre et le TAD.
J'aime beaucoup ce timbre représentant des citoyens du monde de différentes couleurs devant un globe terrestre multicolore.
On reconnait là le style de Michel Granger qui avait également conçu d'autres timbre pour les Nations Unies ou la France dans le passé (sécurité routière en 2004, Loi handicap en 2005 ou timbre "envol" du carnet "Fête du Timbre" en 2013).
Très peu d'administrations postales ont également commémoré le 70ème anniversaire de cette Déclaration en 2018 : Nations Unies, Vatican, Jordanie (+ d'autres ?).

Michel Granger, who also designed the postmark, signed on this envelope as well as his son, Vicente Granger, who laid out the stamp and postmark.
I realky love that stamp representing citizens of the world of different colors in front of a multicolored globe.
We recognize here the style of Michel Granger who had also designed other stamps for the United Nations or France in the past (road safety in 2004, Disability Act in 2005 or stamp "flight" of the "Stamp Day" booklet in 2013 ).
Very few postal administrations have also commemorated the 70th anniversary of this Declaration in 2018: United Nations, Vatican City, Jordan (+ other ones?).
