Brasilia - Dream and Reality...

J'avais déjà évoqué sur ce blog le 50ème anniversaire de la fondation (en 1960) de la capitale fédérale du Brésil, Brasilia, à travers une série très colorée de 6 timbres, émis le 21 avril 2010, consacrée à des monuments et édifices emblématiques de la ville.
La poste brésilienne a émis, le 13 mai 2010, une nouvelle série de 2 timbres (inclus dans un bloc-feuillet) consacrée à l'anniversaire de Brasilia sur le thème "Rêve et Réalité" ("Sonho e Realidade")...
Ce splendide bloc-feuillet, en forme d'oiseau (une colombe ?), figure sur la lettre recommandée ci-dessous, postée le 16 août 2010 de São Paulo.

A noter que ce courrier a été ouvert par la douane française à son arrivée à Roissy (étiquette jaune) et refermé par la poste (scotch avec mention "contrôle douanier postal" en haut)...
I already mentioned on this blog the 50th anniversary of the founding (in 1960) of Brazil's federal capital, Brasilia, through a colorful series of six stamps, issued on April 21, 2010, dedicated to monuments and landmark buildings of the city.
The Brazilian Post has issued on May 13, 2010, a new set of two stamps (included in a souvenir sheet) devoted to the anniversary of Brasilia on the theme "Dream and Reality" (Sonho e Realidade")...
This beautiful souvenir sheet, in the shape of a bird (a dove ?), is included on the registered letter below, posted on August 16, 2010 in São Paulo.

To note that this cover was opened by French customs on arrival at Roissy (yellow label) and closed by French Post (scotch-tape with the words "Postal custom's control" at the top)...


Le logo officiel (jaune, vert et blanc) du 50ème anniversaire de Brasilia figure dans la marge à gauche, ainsi que le musée national de la république (partie du complexe culturel de la république). Le pont JK (portant le nom du président Juscelino Kubitschek qui initia la création de cette nouvelle capitale), inauguré en 2002, figure dans la marge à droite.
L'un des édifices les plus connus de la ville, conçu par l'architecte Oscar Niemeyer, la cathédrale métropolitaine, figure sur le timbre de gauche, ainsi que le logo du 16ème congrès eucharistique national organisé du 13 au 16 mai 2010 à Brasilia. Ce congrès constitue le plus important évènement catholique organisé au Brésil dans le cadre du jubilé de Brasilia.
A noter que cette même cathédrale figure sur l'oblitération "1er jour" ci-dessus.
La statue des "2 Candangos dans le Cerrado" sert de liaison entre les 2 timbres. Le timbre de droite représente le mémorial JK ainsi que la "Catetinho", le bâtiment construit pour loger le président Juscelino Kubitschek lors de ses visites sur le chantier de la ville.
La conceptrice de ce bloc, Míriam Guimarães, a utilisé des couleurs rappelant celles du mois d'avril, le mois de la création de Brasilia !
Pour être complet, le fond du bloc dans sa partie supérieure, évoque le Plano Piloto (plan pilote) de la ville, imaginé par l'urbaniste Lucio Costa en 1957, alors inspiré par la forme d'une croix.
The official logo (yellow, green and white) of the 50th anniversary of Brasilia is included in the left margin, with also the National Museum of the Republic (part of the cultural complex of the Republic). The JK Bridge (named after the President Juscelino Kubitschek who initiated the creation of this new capital), inaugurated in 2002, is featured in the right margin.
One of the iconic buildings of the city, designed by architect Oscar Niemeyer, the Metropolitan Cathedral, is featured on the left stamp, with the logo of 16th National Eucharistic Congress held from 13 to 16 May 2010 in Brasilia. This congress is the most important Catholic event held in Brazil on the occasion of the jubilee of Brasilia. To note that this same cathedral is included on the FDC cancellations above.
The "Two Candangos in the Cerrado" statue is used as a link between the two stamps. The right's stamp is depicting the JK Memorial and the "Catetinho", the residence built to house President Juscelino Kubitschek during his visits on Brasilia's building site.
The designer of this block, Míriam Guimarães, has used colors prevailing in April, the month Brasilia was founded !
To be complete, the background of the sheet in its upper part, evokes the Plano Piloto (Pilot Plan) of the city, designed by urban planner Lucio Costa in 1957, then inspired by the shape of a cross.
