Les premiers timbres utilisés sur le territoire actuel de l'état du Koweït furent des timbres utilisés en Inde (profil du roi Georges V), avec une surcharge "Kuwait", émis à partir de 1923.
A partir de 1948, des timbres britanniques surchargés ont été émis, les premiers timbres avec mention "Kuwait" étant mis en circulation à partir de 1958 représentant le Sheikh Abdallah, qui deviendra le premier émir du pays après son indépendance en 1961.
Un grand merci Aziz et Ahmed pour l'envoi de cette lettre recommandée le 23 avril 2024 depuis le bureau postal de Sabah Al Salem, affranchie avec différents timbres émis en 2010, 2021 et 2022 respectivement.
Le timbre à droite (25 fils) fait partie d'une série (3 timbres) émise le 23 mai 2010, consacrée au 50ème anniversaire de la création de l'OPEP. Le Koweït fut l'un des 5 pays fondateurs de cette Organisation des pays exportateurs de pétrole (12 membres actuellement) en 1960, dont le siège est à Vienne. 
The first stamps used in the current territory of the state of Kuwait were stamps used in India (profile of King George V), with an overprint "Kuwait", issued from 1923.
From 1948, overprinted British stamps were issued, the first stamps with the words "Kuwait" being put into circulation from 1958 representing Sheikh Abdullah, who would become the first emir of the country after its independence in 1961.

The stamp on the right (25 fils) is part of a series (3 stamps) issued on May 23, 2010, dedicated to the 50th anniversary of the creation of OPEC. Kuwait was one of the 5 founding countries of this Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries (currently 12 members) in 1960, headquartered in Vienna, Austria.

Le timbre à côté (150 fils) a été émis le 22 février 2022 pour commémorer la Journée de la Libération, à l'occasion du 31ème anniversaire de la fin de l'invasion du pays par l'Irak (débutée en août 1990).
L'occupation du Koweït par l'Irak dure 7 mois, avant que le pays ne soit libéré par les forces de la Coalition. Cette invasion, élément déclencheur de la guerre du Golfe, a conduit directement à l'intervention militaire des États-Unis contre l'Irak en janvier 1991.
Ce timbre montre l'une des villas situées à Al-Qurain, détruites pendant cette invasion, un musée des martyrs aujourd'hui, en référence à un groupe de 19 jeunes koweïtiens membres du mouvement de résistance "Messila" qui y ont lutté contre les irakiens (12 sont morts et 7 sévèrement blessés).
Le timbre en haut à gauche (150 fils), émis le 9 avril 2021, fait référence à la lutte du pays contre la pandémie de Covid-19. Ce timbre représente Sabah al-Ahmad al-Jaber al-Sabah, émir du Koweït entre 2006 et 2020, ainsi qu'un avion de la compagnie nationale et différents corps de métiers ayant participé à ce combat (policier, militaire, équipe médicale, membre du Croissant Rouge...).
Le dernier timbre (25 fils) fait partie d'une série (3 timbres) émise le 20 avril 2010, intitulée "Kuwait @gate", probablement en référence à un programme gouvernemental de développement des technologies de l'information...
The stamp next to it (150 fils) was issued on February 22, 2022 to commemorate the Liberation Day, on the occasion of the 31st anniversary of the end of Iraq's invasion of the country (beginning in August 1990).
Iraq's occupation of Kuwait lasted 7 months, before the country was liberated by Coalition forces. This invasion, which triggered the Gulf War, led directly to the United States' military intervention against Iraq in January 1991.
This stamp shows one of the villas located in Al-Qurain, destroyed during this invasion, a Martyrs' Museum today, in reference to a group of 19 young Kuwaiti members of the resistance movement "Messila" who fought there against the Iraqis (12 died and 7 seriously injured).
The stamp at the top left (150 fils), issued on April 9, 2021, refers to the country's fight against the Covid-19 pandemic. This stamp represents Sabah al-Ahmad al-Jaber al-Sabah, emir of Kuwait between 2006 and 2020, as well as a plane of the national company and different trades having participated in this fight (police, military, medical team, member of Red Crescent...).
The last stamp (25 fils) is part of a series (3 stamps) issued on April 20, 2010, entitled "Kuwait @gate", probably in reference to a government program for the development of information technologies... 

Diplomatic relations between Albania and Kuwait

Relations diplomatiques entre l'Albanie et le Koweït

Le 10 Avril 1968, la Mission du Koweït aux Nations Unies informait la délégation albanaise de la décision du Conseil des ministres de l'état du Koweït d'approuver l'établissement de relations diplomatiques avec la République populaire de l'Albanie à l'époque.
Le Conseil des ministres albanais confirmait officiellement le 3 juillet 1968 sa décision d'établir des relations diplomatiques avec l'état du Koweït et d'échanger des représentants diplomatiques au rang d'ambassadeurs extraordinaires et plénipotentiaires.
Les relations entre les 2 pays se sont particulièrement développées dans de nombreux domaines (éducation, infrastructures, santé, culture, économie...) à partir des années 1990 suite aux changements démocratiques en Albanie et l'ouverture du pays.
On April 10, 1968, the Mission of Kuwait to the United Nations informed the Albanian delegation about the decision of the Council of Ministers of the State of Kuwait to approve the establishment of diplomatic relations with the People's Republic of Albania at the time.
The Albanian Council of Ministers officially confirmed on July 3, 1968 its decision to establish diplomatic relations with the State of Kuwait and to exchange diplomatic representatives in the rank of extraordinary and plenipotentiary ambassadors.
Relations between the two countries have been strengthened constantly in many areas (education, infrastructure, health, culture, economy...) in particular from the 1990s following the democratic changes in Albania and the opening of the country to the world.

La poste albanaise a sans doute oublié en 2013 de commémorer le 45ème anniversaire de l'établissement de ces relations diplomatiques avec le Koweït mais elle s'est rattrapée en 2014 (le 11 novembre précisément) avec l'émission d'un bloc-feuillet (composé de 2 timbres à 100 lekë) célébrant les relations et l'amitié entre les 2 pays.
C'est ce bloc-feuillet numéroté (tirage : 2650) qui a été utilisé pour affranchir la lettre ci-dessus envoyée le 23 novembre 2015 de Tirana. Merci beaucoup Sabri !
A noter que ce bloc a également été émis dans un carnet à tirage très limité (150), commercialisé à un prix de 680 lekë...
Conçus par Gentjan Gjikopulli, les timbres de ce bloc-feuillet représentent respectivement l'émir actuel du Koweït, Sabah al-Ahmed al-Jabir al-Sabah (plutôt inhabituel de voir des personnes vivantes sur des timbres albanais) ainsi que les drapeaux des 2 pays au-dessus d'une poignée de main.
A noter enfin que l'Albanie avait condamné l'invasion du Koweït par l'Irak au début des années 1990 et que le Koweït a établit des relations diplomatiques avec le Kosovo en 2013, des décisions qui ont renforcé les liens entre les 2 pays...
The Albanian Post has probably forgotten in 2013 to commemorate the 45th anniversary of the establishment of these diplomatic relations with Kuwait but tried to redeem itself in 2014 (on November 11 exactly) with the issue of a souvenir sheet (consisting of two 100 lekë stamps) celebrating the relationship and friendship between the two countries.
It is that numbered souvenir sheet (print run : 2650) which was used to frank the cover above sent on November 23, 2015 from Tirana. Thank you very much Sabri !
To note that this souvenir sheet has also been issued in a limited edition booklet (only 150), marketed at a price of 680 lekë...
Designed by Gentjan Gjikopulli, the stamps of this souvenir sheet are respectively featuring the current Emir of Kuwait, Sabah al-Ahmad al-Jabir al-Sabah (rather unusual to see living people on Albanian stamps) as well as the flags of the two countries over a handshake.
Finally, to note that Albania had condemned the invasion of Kuwait by Iraq in the early 1990s and that Kuwait established diplomatic relations with Kosovo in 2013, decisions that have strengthened ties between the two countries...
