Le 22 mars 2019, la Kyrgyz Express Post (KEP), le 2ème opérateur postal désigné (l'autre étant la poste kirghize) du Kirghizstan, a mis en circulation une nouvelle série (3 timbres) consacrée à différentes races de chats domestiques.
Avec les chiens, les chats domestiques sont les animaux de compagnie les plus courants, avec plus de 200 races recensées à travers le monde, comme le Scottish Fold, le Sibérien ou le Maine Coon à l'honneur sur ces 3 timbres.
Conçue en collaboration avec la Kyrgyz International Cat Association (KICA), membre de la World Cat Federation, cette série (tirage : 8000 pour chaque timbre), conçue par Daria Maier à partir de photographies d'Ivan Turkovskii, figure sur le très joli FDC officiel ci-dessous (tirage : 250, prix de vente : 360 KGS) avec TAD de Bichkek.
On March 22, 2019, the Kyrgyz Express Post (KEP), the second designated postal operator (the other one being the Kyrgyz Post) of Kyrgyzstan, put into circulation a new series (3 stamps) devoted to different breeds of domestic cats.
With dogs, domestic cats are the most common pets, with more than 200 breeds listed worldwide, such as Scottish Fold, Siberian cat or Maine Coon in the spotlight on these 3 stamps.
Designed in collaboration with the Kyrgyz International Cat Association (KICA), member of the World Cat Federation, this series (print run: 8,000 for each stamp), designed by Daria Maier from photographs by Ivan Turkovskii, is present on the very nice official FDC below (print run: 250, selling price: 360 KGS) with cancellations from Bishkek.
Le 1er timbre (50 KGS) est consacré au Scottish Fold, une race qui se distingue par ses oreilles repliées. Le chat représenté, "Baron Kissol D Vel" appartient à la famille d'Olga Kiselnikova à Bichkek.
Le timbre suivant (100 KGS) représente un chat Sibérien appelé "Helmut iz Tverskogo Knyazhestva" appartenant également à la famille d'Olga Kiselnikova à Bichkek. Cette race originaire de Russie, est parfaitement adaptée aux rudes conditions climatiques de la Sibérie.
Le dernier timbre de cette série (150 KGS) est consacré à un chat de race Maine Coon, considérée comme la plus ancienne race de chat en Amérique du Nord, associée à l'état du nord-est du Maine, d'où ces chats sont originaires.
Le chat représenté, "Temir House Mercury" appartient à Alla Temirkhanova de Bishkek, actuelle secrétaire de la KICA.
The first stamp (50 KGS) is dedicated to the Scottish Fold, a breed distinguished by its folded ears. The represented cat, "Baron Kissol D Vel" belongs to the family of Olga Kiselnikova, from Bishkek.
The following stamp (100 KGS) represents a Siberian cat called "Helmut iz Tverskogo Knyazhestva" also belonging to Olga Kiselnikova's family in Bishkek. This breed, originally from Russia, is perfectly adapted to the harsh climatic conditions of Siberia.
The last stamp of this series (150 KGS) is devoted to a Maine Coon cat, considered the oldest cat breed in North America, associated with the northeastern state of Maine, where these cats originate.
The represented cat, "Temir House Mercury" belongs to Alla Temirkhanova from Bishkek, who is the current KICA's secretary.
La Kyrgyz Express Post a également mis en circulation les 3 cartes maximum ci-dessus (tirage : 250 chacune) concernant respectivement les 3 timbres de cette série, ainsi que le TAD Premier Jour.
Ces 3 cartes (prix de vente du lot : 390 KGS), numérotées de MC-44 à MC-46, ont été également conçues à partir de photographies d'Ivan Turkovskii.
The Kyrgyz Express Post has also put into circulation the 3 maxicards above (print run: 250 each) concerning respectively the 3 stamps of this series, as well as the First Day postmark.
These 3 cards (selling price of the lot: 390 KGS), numbered from MC-44 to MC-46, were also designed from photographs by Ivan Turkovskii.
Ces 3 timbres, imprimés en Moldavie par "Nova Imprim", ont été émis chacun en feuillet composé de 4 timbres (tirage : 1500 pour chaque feuillet), cf ci-dessus.
Le logo de la KICA est inclus dans la marge inférieure, idem pour le très joli bloc-feuillet ci-dessous (tirage : 2000) incluant ces 3 timbres, avec la mention "Chats domestiques" dans les marges, en anglais ainsi qu'en kirghize et en russe (les 2 langues officielles du pays).
These 3 stamps, printed in Moldova by "Nova Imprim", were each issued in a sheetlet of 4 stamps (print run: 1,500 for each sheetlet), see above.
The KICA's logo is included in the lower margin, the same for the very nice souvenir sheet below (print run: 2,000) including these 3 stamps, with the mention "Domestic cats" in the margins, in English as well as in Kyrgyz and Russian (the two official languages of the country).
