Du 21 au 28 juillet 2007 a eu lieu à Belgrade la 9ème édition du Festival Olympique de la Jeunesse Européenne (FOJE), le seul évènement multi-sportif concernant le continent européen.
Les 48 comités olympiques européens sont ainsi invités, depuis 1991 pour la 1ère édition, à envoyer tous les 2 ans des jeunes athlètes âgés de 13 à 18 ans qui concourent dans 11 disciplines sportives différentes lors de ce Festival (version "été") : athlétisme, basket-ball, cyclisme, gymnastique, handball, judo, natation, tennis de table, tennis, volley-ball et water-polo.
La poste serbe avait émis, le 20 juin 2007, un bloc-feuillet composé de 2 timbres (46 dinars chacun) consacré à ce Festival Olympique de la Jeunesse Européenne organisé à Belgrade.
From 21 to 28 July 2007 was held in Belgrade the 9th edition of the European Youth Olympic Festival (EYOF), the only multi-sport event organized on the European continent.
The 48 European Olympic Committees are invited, since 1991 to the first edition, to send every two years some young athletes aged 13 to 18 competing in 11 different sports during this Festival ("summer" version) : Athletics , basketball, cycling, gymnastics, handball, judo, swimming, table tennis, tennis, volleyball and water polo.
The Serbian Post had issued on June 20, 2007, a souvenir sheet with two stamps (46 Dinars each) devoted to this European Youth Olympic Festival held in Belgrade.

Ce bloc-feuillet numéroté (n°6012) figure sur la lettre ci-dessus envoyée en recommandé de la ville de Pancevo le 27 septembre 2012. Merci beaucoup Zoran :-)
Les 2 timbres évoquent deux des 11 sports de ce FOJE 2007 (natation et athlétisme) avec une vue de Belgrade dans le fond et le clocher de la cathédrale Saint-Michel-Archange en particulier sur le timbre de gauche.
A noter aussi les pictogrammes dans les marges représentant également des disciplines sportives, dont la danse (dans la coin en bas à gauche) qui n'était pourtant pas au programme de cette édition ?
La France avait engagé 77 athlètes (dans 8 sports) lors de ce FOJE 2007 et n'avait terminé qu'à la 10ème place au classement des nations (dominé par la Russie) avec 17 médailles (3 or, 6 argent, 8 bronze)...

The two stamps feature two of the eleven sports of this EYOF 2007 (athletics and swimming) with a view of Belgrade in the background and the bell tower of the Cathedral of St. Michael the Archangel in particular on the left's stamp.
To note also the pictograms in the margins depicting some other sport disciplines, including dance (in the bottom left corner) that was not at the program of this edition ?
France had engaged 77 athletes (in 8 sports) at this EYOF 2007 and finished at the 10th place in the ranking of nations (dominated by Russia) with 17 medals (3 gold, 6 silver, 8 bronze)...
