Comme de coutume, en tant que client fidèle (!), j'ai reçu récemment en cadeau plusieurs souvenirs philatéliques, liés aux festivités de Noël, en particulier envoyés par les administrations postales de la Principauté du Liechtenstein et du Grand-Duché de Luxembourg
Après des maisons dont les lumières chaleureuses et réconfortantes éclairent des paysages sombres et froids en 2017, la poste du Liechtenstein a mis en circulation cette année (le 12 novembre) une série de 4 timbres de Noël montrant des scènes traditionnelles de cette fête chrétienne : "Les rois mages" (0,85 CHF), "L'étoile indique le chemin" (1,00 CHF), "Paix sur terre" (1,50 CHF) et "Naissance du Christ" (2,00 CHF).
Un de ces 4 timbres autocollants (2,00 CHF), imprimés au Liechtenstein par Gutenberg AG, figure sur la carte spéciale ci-dessous, avec son TAD Premier Jour "Étoile de Bethlehem" de Vaduz.
As usual, as a loyal customer (!), I recently received several philatelic souvenirs related to the Christmas festivities, in particular sent by the postal administrations of the Principality of Liechtenstein and the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg.
After houses with warm glowing lights against cold and dark landscapes in 2017, the Liechtenstein Post has put into circulation this year (on November 12th) a series of four Christmas stamps showing traditional scenes from this Christian festival: "The Wise Men" (CHF 0.85), "The Star shows the Way" (CHF 1.00), "Peace on Earth" (CHF 1.50) and "Birth of Jesus" (CHF 2.00).
One of these 4 self-adhesive stamps (CHF 2.00), printed in Liechtenstein by Gutenberg AG, is present on the special card below, with its "Star of Bethlehem" First Day cancellation from Vaduz.
Ces timbres de Noël ont été conçus par Manfred Näscher, le deuxième lauréat d'un concours de création organisé entre artistes liechtensteinois vivant à l'étranger.
Né en 1973 au Liechtenstein, l'artiste visuel Manfred Näscher a quitté son pays en 1996 et vit et travaille à Berlin depuis 2008.
La carte ci-dessus représente une partie de la crèche de l'église paroissiale St. Gallus à Triesen, une scène de la Nativité sous forme de tableau mural en relief sculpté à la main en 1925 par l'artiste tyrolien Johannes Troyer. Cette même crèche figurait sur un des timbres de Noël émis en 2011.
Comme les années précédentes, un poème ("Christkind") figure sur l'autre face de cette carte, écrit par le poète et compositeur allemand Peter Cornelius (1824-1874).
These Christmas stamps were designed by Manfred Näscher, the winner of the second prize in a design competition hosted among Liechtenstein artists living abroad.
Born in 1973 in Liechtenstein, the visual artist Manfred Näscher left his country in 1996 and lives and works in Berlin since 2008.
The card above shows a part of the crib of the St. Gallus parish church in Triesen, a Nativity scene in the form of a relief mural handcarved in 1925 by the Tyrolean artist Johannes Troyer.
This same crib was featured on one of the Christmas stamps issued in 2011.
As in previous years, a poem ("Christkind") is written on the other side of this card, a work by the German poet and composer Peter Cornelius (1824-1874).
Le 4 décembre 2018, la poste luxembourgeoise a mis en circulation, comme de coutume, 2 timbres de Noël ayant pour thème "Les fêtes de fin d’année", conçus cette année par la jeune graphiste et illustratrice Céline Mazzilli qui vit et travaille au Luxembourg.
Ces 2 timbres, assez surprenants, ont été imprimés en France par Cartor Security Printing, sur papier calque adhésif avec dos blanc, chacun en feuille de 12 timbres avec bords décorés.
Il s'agit d'une première mondiale : les motifs sont imprimés sur un film transparent et autocollant. On voit la matière en arrière-plan lorsque le timbre est collé sur l'enveloppe.
Un des 2 timbres de cette série (0,70€ + 0,05€) figure sur la carte ci-dessus avec son TAD Premier Jour associé de Luxembourg.

On December 4, 2018, the Luxembourg Post has put into circulation, as usual, two Christmas stamps on the theme of "The end-of-year festivities", designed this year by the young graphic designer and illustrator Céline Mazzilli, who lives and works in Luxembourg.
These 2 rather surprising stamps were printed in France by Cartor Security Printing, on self-adhesive tracing paper with white back, each in sheet of 12 stamps with decorated borders.
This is a world first: designs are printed on transparent foil. When you stick them onto the envelope, the material of the envelope shows through in the background.
One of the two stamps of this series (€ 0.70 + € 0.05) is present on the card above with its associated First Day cancellation from Luxembourg.
