A nouveau un grand merci à la poste tchèque pour cette nouvelle splendide lettre recommandée postée de Prague le 31 août 2011 !

Ce 31 août 2011, la poste tchèque a émis un intéressant timbre consacré à Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart (1756-1791), sans doute le plus grand compositeur de tous les temps. Sans doute pour commémorer le 255ème anniversaire de sa naissance ou le 220ème anniversaire de sa mort ?
C'est ce timbre permanent (tarif "E" correspondant à l'envoi d'une lettre prioritaire jusqu'à 20g vers l'Europe, soit 20 couronnes actuellement) qui figure en 2 exemplaire sur la lettre ci-dessous.

This August 31, 2011, the Czech Post has issued an interesting stamp devoted to Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart (1756-1791), arguably the greatest composer of all time. Probably to commemorate the 255th anniversary of his birth or the 220th anniversary of his death ?
It is this Permanent stamp ("E" rate, corresponding to a priority letter up to 20g to Europe, currently 20 CZK) which appears in two copies on the letter below.
Ce timbre, conçu par la graphiste tchèque Marina Richterová, montre Mozart dirigeant un orchestre avec une partition originale de l'opéra "Don Giovanni" dans le fond.
Mozart dirigea pour la 1ère fois cet opéra, le 29 octobre 1787, dans le théâtre des États de Prague, qui figure également en bas à gauche sur ce timbre. C'est également dans ce théâtre, le seul où Mozart a joué qui subsiste de nos jours, que l'opéra "La clémence de Titus" sera créé en 1791.
A noter que cette lettre a été oblitérée avec le timbre à date spécial (en circulation à Prague du 31 août au 9 septembre 2011) consacré à Mozart, représentant une pointe en cristal, symbole de l'appartenance du compositeur à la franc-maçonnerie.
J'ai déjà évoqué les 3 autres timbres utilisés ci-dessus, dont le timbre EUROPA 2011, dans des messages précédents.
This stamp, designed by Czech graphic artist Marina Richterová, is depicting Mozart expressively conducting with the original score from the opera "Don Giovanni" in the background. Mozart conducted for the first time this opera, on October 29, 1787, at the Estates Theatre of Prague, which also appears in the lower left part of this stamp. This is also in this theater, the only one left standing where Mozart performed, that the opera "The Clemency of Titus" was created in 1791.
To note that this letter was postmarked with the special cancellation (outstanding in Prague from August 31 to September 9, 2011) devoted to Mozart, featuring a peak in crystal, a symbol of the belonging of the composer to Freemasonry.

L'oblitération "Premier Jour" représente le monogramme de Mozart (avec les 3 lettres W, A et M). A noter la splendide gravure à gauche (par Miloš Ondráček) évoquant le personnage du chevalier commandeur, faisant partie de l'opéra Don Giovanni.
I was lucky to receive, inside this letter, the official FDC above devoted to this stamp !
The FDC cancellation features the monogram of Mozart (with the three letters W, A and M).
To note the beautiful engraving to the left (by Miloš Ondráček) evoking the character of Knight Commander, being part of the opera Don Giovanni.
On retrouve ce même monogramme de Mozart sur la partie gauche du carnet dans lequel ce timbre a été émis (6 exemplaires autocollants) ci-dessus.
A noter que Mozart, sur ce timbre, porte à la main droite le même cristal que celui représenté sur l'oblitération spéciale sur la lettre ci-dessus !
You can see this same Mozart's monogram on the left part of the booklet above in which this stamp was issued (6 self-adhesive stamps).
To note that Mozart, on this stamp, is wearing (on his right wrist) the same crystal as the one appearing on the special postmark on the registered letter above !
Pour être complet, voici ci-dessus l'autre face de ce joli carnet reprenant à droite le visuel du timbre.
A noter le texte à gauche (en tchèque et en anglais) mentionnant que Mozart fut invité à Prague en 1787 pour jouer son opéra "Les Noces de Figaro", créé en 1786 à Vienne, et qu'il fut (comme on le comprend) impressionné par la beauté de la capitale tchèque.
On y apprend aussi que Mozart composa sa Symphonie n°38 en ré majeur, dite Symphonie de Prague, pour remercier la ville et ses habitants.

To note the text on the left (in Czech and English) stating that Mozart was invited to Prague in 1787 to play his opera "The Marriage of Figaro", created in 1786 in Vienna, and was (as we understand it !) impressed by the beauty of the Czech capital.
We also learn that Mozart has composed his Symphony No. 38 in D major, known as the Prague Symphony, to thank the city and its inhabitants.
