70th anniversary of the birth of stamp designer Jan Kavan - special Czech postmark

Merci beaucoup Slavek !
On March 8, 2017, the Prague's main post office 1 put into circulation a special postmark dedicated to the 70th anniversary of the birth of Jan Kavan, graphic designer, illustrator and creator of animated films.
But Jan Kavan, who graduated from Prague's Academy of Arts, Architecture and Design in 1972, is also the designer of about 40 Czech stamps issued between 1999 and 2016.
Designed by Martin Srb, this cancellation, representing a hand drawing a letter K (Gothic style) and the number 70, was applied to the pretty letter below. Thank you very much Slavek!

Slavek naturally franked this cover with a stamp (17 CZK) designed by Jan Kavan (engraved by Miloš Ondráček), issued on May 5, 2010 to announce the exhibition "Prague Castle in the Art of postage stamp" held in Prague from 12 May to 1 August 2010. This Exhibition retraced more than 90 years of stamp's tradition in Czechoslovakia and Czech Republic in connection with this castle and many treasures of its collections.
That stamp shows a view of this Prague Castle, dominated by St. Vitus Cathedral, with the famous Charles Bridge in the foreground.
To note this additional label (15 CZK) to reach the current tariff (32 CZK) for priority shipment up to 50g to European countries.

The Czech Post also put into circulation the special numbered commemorative sheet above (print run: 1,700, numbered from 0151001 to 0152700), including the same postmark. Thank you very much Bret for this nice philatelic piece!
The stamp (43 CZK) used here, created by Jan Kavan and engraved by Václav Fajt, was issued on March 10, 2010 to commemorate the bicentennial of the birth of the great Czech romantic poet Karel Hynek Mácha (1810-1836).
That stamp was issued in a beautiful souvenir sheet depicting a portrait of the poet contemplating the region of Bezděz (northern part of the country) and its Gothic castle in particular, a region having strongly inspired the work of Karel Hynek Mácha.
I will talk about it very soon on this blog but Jan Kavan also designed the souvenir sheet dedicated to the 700th anniversary of the birth of Charles IV, designated as the more beautiful Czech stamp issued in 2016!
