Le 20 janvier 2017, la poste tchèque a mis en circulation 3 timbres dont un (32 CZK) faisant partie de la série pluriannuelle consacrée à des moyens de transport historiques.
Conçu par Petr Ptáček, ce timbre est consacré à un ancien aéronef "Aero A-14 ČSA" datant des années 1920, imprimé en feuille de 50 timbres.
Un grand merci Bret pour ce FDC officiel (tirage : 3400) avec TAD de Prague et gravure par Bohumil Šneider, cette carte-maximum (tirage : 2300) avec TAD standard du bureau de Prague 1 et ce feuillet Premier Jour concernant ce timbre !
On January 20, 2017, the Czech Post issued three stamps, one of which (32 CZK) being part of the multiannual series devoted to historical means of transport.
Designed by Petr Ptáček, this stamp is devoted to a vintage aircraft "Aero A-14 ČSA" dating from the 1920s, printed in sheet of 50 stamps.
A big thank you Bret for this official FDC (print run : 3,400) with cancellation from Prague and engraving by Bohumil Šneider, this maxicard (print run : 2,300) with standard postmark from the post office of Prague 1 and this First Day Sheet regarding that stamp !
Cet aéronef, très semblable à des modèles de biplans développés par un constructeur allemand (licence de type Hansa-Brandenburg C.I), a été d'abord utilisé comme un avion d'entrainement et de reconnaissance par l'armée de l'air tchécoslovaque.
En 1923 (jusqu'en 1925), la compagnie aérienne tchécoslovaque (ČSA) a commencé le transport régulier de passagers avec cet avion.
Suite à des vibrations excessives du moteur et du réservoir de carburant, ces avions ont ensuite été exploités pour le transport du fret et de courrier sur la ligne Prague-Bratislava.
Deux autres modèles du même type (avec des puissances de moteur différentes) ont été également conçus (Aero A-15 et Aero A-26).
This aircraft, very similar to biplane models developed by a German manufacturer (Hansa-Brandenburg C.I's type of license), was first used as a training and reconnaissance aircraft by the Czechoslovak air force.
In 1923 (until 1925), the Czechoslovak airline (ČSA) started regular passenger transportation with this aircraft.
Following excessive vibration of the engine and fuel tank, these aircraft were then used for cargo transportation and used to carry airmail on the Prague-Bratislava route.
Two other models of the same type (with different engine powers) were also manufactured (Aero A-15 and Aero A-26).
