Timbre "30 ans de relations diplomatiques", commun avec la Géorgie, sur lettre d'Italie
La Géorgie et l'Italie ont officiellement établi des relations
diplomatiques le 11 mai 1992, les 2 pays disposant d'ambassades
respectives à Tbilissi et Rome.
Les 2 pays entretiennent de bonnes
relations aujourd'hui, en coopérant dans les domaines de la santé, de
l'éducation, de la culture ou de la défense, malgré un positionnement
ambigu de l'Italie lors de la guerre russo-géorgienne en 2008 dans les
provinces géorgiennes d'Ossétie du Sud et d'Abkhazie...
Le 7
décembre 2022 (le 27 décembre 2022 pour le timbre géorgien), la poste italienne a mis en circulation un timbre commun avec la poste géorgienne, consacré au 30ème anniversaire de l'établissement de ces relations diplomatiques entre les 2 pays.
Ce timbre (tarif "B zone 2" - 2,45€ pour un envoi jusqu'à 20g vers
les pays d'Afrique, Amérique et Asie - tirage : 350010) a été utilisé à droite
sur cette lettre envoyée en juin 2023 (aucune oblitération malheureusement). Merci

Georgia and Italy officially
established diplomatic relations on May 11, 1992, the two countries
having respective embassies in Tbilisi and Rome.
The two countries
maintain good relations today, cooperating in the fields of health,
education, culture or defence, despite Italy's ambiguous positioning
during the Russo-Georgian war in 2008 in the Georgian provinces of South
Ossetia and Abkhazia ...
On December 7, 2022 (December 27, 2022 for the Georgian stamp), the Italian Post put into circulation a joint stamp with the Georgian Post, dedicated to the 30th anniversary of the establishment of these diplomatic relations between the two countries.
This stamp ("B zone 2" rate - €2.45 for a shipment up to 20g to countries in Africa, America and Asia - print run: 350,010) was used on the right on this cover sent in June 2023 (no cancellation unfortunately). Thank you very much Salvatore!
Ce timbre reproduit un dessin de Teramo Cristoforo Castelli (1597-1659),
un missionnaire noble italien qui a passé 22 ans en Géorgie de 1632 à
1654. Il a laissé sept volumes de notes de voyage et de croquis à la
plume et à l'encre et d'autres illustrations, principalement des
personnes et des paysages de la Géorgie.
Le dessin sur ce timbre représente la cathédrale de Bichvinta,
avec de nombreux personnages qui semblent restaurer l'édifice, extrait
d'un manuscrit du 17ème siècle conservé à la bibliothèque municipale
"Leonardo Sciascia" de Palerme.
Cette cathédrale orthodoxe, située
aujourd'hui sur le territoire de la république autonome d'Abkhazie (dans
les frontières internationalement reconnues de la Géorgie), a été
construite à la fin du 10ème siècle par le roi Bagrat III.
L'autre timbre (tarif "B zone 1" - 1,30€ pour un envoi jusqu'à 20g vers
les pays européens et du bassin méditerranéen - tirage : 300000), émis le 11 août 2022, est consacré à la 36ème édition des championnats d'Europe de natation, organisés du 11 au 21 août 2022 à Rome.
Cette compétition concernait les 4 disciplines de la natation (sportive, artistique, eau libre, plongeon) avec pour la 1ère fois des épreuves individuelles masculines en natation artistique. L'Italie a largement dominé ces championnats à domicile avec un total de 72 médailles dont 25 en or.
This stamp reproduces a drawing by Teramo Cristoforo Castelli (1597-1659),
an Italian noble missionary who spent 22 years in Georgia from 1632 to
1654. He left seven volumes of travel notes and pen-and-ink sketches and
other illustrations, mainly of the people and landscapes of Georgia.
The drawing on this stamp represents the Bichvinta Cathedral,
with many figures that seem to restore the building, taken from a 17th
century manuscript kept in the Municipal Library "Leonardo Sciascia" in
Palermo.
This
Orthodox cathedral, located today on the territory of the Autonomous
Republic of Abkhazia (within the internationally recognized borders of
Georgia), was built at the end of the 10th century by King Bagrat III.
The other stamp ("B zone 1" rate - €1.30 for a shipment up to 20g to European countries and the Mediterranean basin - print run: 300,000), issued on August 11, 2022, is dedicated to the 36th edition of the European Aquatics Championships, held from August 11 to 21, 2022 in Rome.
This competition involved the 4 aquatics disciplines (Swimming, Open water swimming, Artistic swimming, Diving) with, for the first time, individual men's events in artistic swimming. Italy largely dominated these championships at home with a total of 72 medals including 25 gold.
