"Inauguration of the PAPU tower" joint stamps on covers from Tanzania

Timbres communs "Inauguration de la tour UPAP" sur lettres de Tanzanie

Le 2 septembre 2023, en présence de la présidente de la République unie de Tanzanie, Samia Suluhu Hassan, la tour abritant le nouveau siège de l'Union panafricaine des postes (UPAP) a été officiellement inaugurée, après presque 4 ans de travaux.
L'UPAP (45 états membres actuellement), institution spécialisée de l'Union africaine, a été créée en 1980 avec son siège à Arusha en Tanzanie. Son principal objectif est la coordination des activités de développement des services postaux en Afrique.
A l'occasion de l'inauguration de cette tour UPAP (construction financée en partie par la Chine), composée en réalité de 2 bâtiments dont un composé de 17 étages, certaines administrations postales africaines ont mis en circulation un timbre commun représentant cet édifice. 
On September 2, 2023, in the presence of the President of the United Republic of Tanzania, Samia Suluhu Hassan, the tower housing the new headquarters of the Pan African Postal Union (PAPU) was officially inaugurated, after almost 4 years of work.
PAPU (currently 45 member states), a specialized institution of the African Union, was created in 1980 with its headquarters in Arusha, Tanzania. Its main objective is the coordination of postal service development activities in Africa.
On the occasion of the inauguration of this PAPU tower (construction partly financed by China), actually composed of two buildings, one of which has 17 floors, certain African postal administrations put into circulation a joint stamp representing this tower.  

Sauf erreur, 13 pays (Tanzanie, Algérie, Sénégal, Nigeria, Égypte, Maroc, Zimbabwe, Burundi, République centrafricaine, Guinée, Niger, Sierra Leone, Togo) ont émis ce timbre commun (décliné parfois en blocs-feuillets), incluant également un monument ou symbole de chacun de ces pays.
Le 2 septembre 2023, la poste tanzanienne a mis en circulation 4 timbres + 4 blocs-feuillets dans le cadre de cette émission commune.
Deux de ces timbres ont été utilisés sur la lettre ci-dessus (1200 TZS) et ci-dessous (3500 TZS), envoyées le 18 mai 2024 depuis la ville d'Arusha. Merci beaucoup Bhavin !
L'emblème de l'UPAP figure en haut à gauche sur ces timbres, la tour UPAP figurant à gauche sous différents angles, avec le Kilimandjaro dans le fond, point culminant (5892 mètres) de la Tanzanie et de l'Afrique, situé non loin d'Arusha. 
A noter sur la lettre ci-dessus l'utilisation d'un 2ème timbre (2300 TZS, avec millésime 2019) faisant partie d'une série (3 timbres + 1 bloc-feuillet) émise le 18 janvier 2020 pour commémorer le 40ème anniversaire de la création de l'UPAP. Ce timbre représente le cargo "Mv MAPINDUZI II" (2015) qui assure le transport de passagers et de marchandises entre Dar es Salaam et Zanzibar. 
Unless I'm mistaken, 13 countries (Tanzania, Algeria, Senegal, Nigeria, Egypt, Morocco, Zimbabwe, Burundi, Central African Republic, Guinea, Niger, Sierra Leone, Togo) have issued this joint stamp (sometimes available in souvenir sheets), also including a monument or symbol of each of these countries.
On September 2, 2023, the Tanzanian Post put into circulation 4 stamps + 4 souvenir sheets as part of this joint issue.
Two of these stamps have been used on the cover above (1200 TZS) and below (3500 TZS), sent on May 18, 2024 from the city of Arusha. Thank you very much Bhavin!
The PAPU emblem appears at the top left on these stamps, the PAPU tower being featured on the left from different angles, with Kilimanjaro in the background, the highest point (5892 meters) of Tanzania and Africa, located not far from Arusha.
To note on the cover above the use of a 2nd stamp (2300 TZS, with year 2019) part of a series (3 stamps + 1 souvenir sheet) issued on January 18, 2020 to commemorate the 40th anniversary of the creation of the PAPU. This stamp represents the cargo ship "Mv MAPINDUZI II" (2015) which ensures the transport of passengers and goods between Dar es Salaam and Zanzibar. 

Les timbres de cette série commune "Inauguration de la tour UPAP" comportent également différents animaux sauvages de Tanzanie comme l'éléphant, le lion ou des zèbres sur le timbre ci-dessus.
The stamps of this "Inauguration of the PAPU tower" joint issue also feature different wild animals from Tanzania such as the elephant, lion or zebras on the stamp above.
