EUROPA 2024 (Underwater Fauna and Flora) stamp on FDC from Türkiye

Timbre EUROPA 2024 (Faune et flore subaquatiques) sur FDC de Turquie

Pour rappel, le thème choisi par l'association PostEurop pour les timbres EUROPA émis en 2024, la faune et flore subaquatiques ("Su Altı Faunası ve Florası" en turc), met en lumière la biodiversité des eaux européennes qui souffrent de la surpêche, de la pollution et du changement climatique et qui doivent être protégées pour les générations futures. 
Le 9 mai 2024 (Journée de l'Europe), la poste turque a mis en circulation un timbre EUROPA unique (20 TRY, tirage : 100000) illustrant ce thème, en particulier différentes espèces de poissons, murènes, requins et coraux de la mer Méditerranée.
Ce timbre figure en 2 exemplaires sur le FDC officiel ci-dessous (tirage : 2500) avec TAD d'Ankara, envoyé le 10 juin 2024 depuis Istanbul. Merci beaucoup Tolga !
Tolga a également utilisé le timbre EUROPA (10 TRY, tirage : 100000) émis le 9 mai 2023 illustrant le thème de "La Paix - la valeur humaine la plus importante", en écho à l'agression de l'Ukraine par la Russie débutée en février 2022. 
As a reminder, the theme chosen by the PostEurop association for the EUROPA stamps issued in 2024, underwater fauna and flora ("Su Altı Faunası ve Florası" in Turkish), highlights the biodiversity of European waters which suffer from overfishing, pollution and climate change and which must be protected for future generations.
On May 9, 2024 (Europe Day), the Turkish Post put into circulation a unique EUROPA stamp (20 TRY, print run: 100,000) illustrating this theme, in particular different species of fish, moray eels, sharks and corals of the Mediterranean sea.
This stamp appears in two copies on the official FDC below (print run: 2,500) with postmarks from Ankara, sent on June 10, 2024 from Istanbul. Thank you very much Tolga!
Tolga also used the EUROPA stamp (10 TRY, print run: 100,000) issued on May 9, 2023 illustrating the theme of "Peace - the highest value of humanity", echoing the aggression of Ukraine by Russia started in February 2022.

 

Pour rappel, pour illustrer ce thème 2023, PostEurop a organisé un concours au sein des pays membres et c'est le projet "Nœud de la paix" de la poste luxembourgeoise (auteurs : Linda Bos et Runa Egilsdottir - A Designers' Collective) qui a été choisi et reproduit sur les timbres EUROPA émis en 2023.
Les 3 derniers timbres ci-dessus (5 TRY, tirage : 100000 chacun) constituent la série EUROPA (2 timbres) émise le 9 mai 2022, consacrée au thème des histoires et mythes, en particulier à l'épopée de Köroğlu, une légende importante dans les traditions orales des peuples turcs.
En turc, köroğlu signifie "le fils de l'aveugle" et fait référence à un célèbre troubadour dont la réputation s'étendit à tout le Caucase, mais aussi en Perse et en Asie centrale. Cependant, le thème commun à toutes les versions est celui du héros défendant son clan ou sa tribu contre les menaces extérieures. Dans de nombreuses de ces versions, Köroğlu gagne son nom de l'aveuglement par erreur de son père, un acte pour lequel il cherche à se venger et qui initie toute une série d'aventures. Il est décrit à la fois comme un bandit et un poète. Opposé aux riches, réfractaire devant l'autorité, il vient en aide aux pauvres.
As a reminder, to illustrate this 2023 theme, PostEurop organized a competition within the member countries and it's the Luxembourg Post's "Peace Knot" project (authors: Linda Bos and Runa Egilsdottir - A Designers' Collective) which was chosen and reproduced on EUROPA stamps issued in 2023.
The last three stamps above (5 TRY, print run: 100,000 each) constitute the EUROPA series (2 stamps) issued on May 9, 2022, dedicated to the theme of stories and myths, in particular the epic of Köroğlu, an important legend in the oral traditions of the Turkic peoples.
In Turkish, köroğlu means "son of the blind man" and refers to a famous troubadour whose reputation spread throughout the Caucasus, but also in Persia and Central Asia. However, the common theme across all versions is that of the hero defending his clan or tribe against external threats. In many of these versions, Köroğlu earns his name from the mistaken blinding of his father, an act for which he seeks revenge and which initiates a whole series of adventures. He is described as both a bandit and a poet. Opposed to the rich, resistant to authority, he comes to the aid of the poor.
