Voici le 2ème courrier reçu du Belarus posté le 30 juillet à Minsk, la capitale.
Les 2 timbres de 2006 à gauche font partie d'une série courante de 12 valeurs, consacrée aux oiseaux des jardins. Celui à 200 BYR représente un pinson et celui comportant la lettre 'H' (410 BYR) une mésange charbonnière. Ce dernier timbre est malheureusement abîmé...
Le timbre de droite à 360 BYR a été émis le 18 septembre 2005 pour commémorer les 1000 ans du diocèse de Turov.
La ville de Turov, tout comme celle de Pinsk dont j'ai parlé récemment, est située dans la région de Polésie, dans le sud-ouest du Belarus.

The 2 stamps of 2006 to the left are a part of a current series of 12 values, dedicated to the birds of gardens. The 200 BYR one represents a chaffinch and that containing the 'H' letter (410 BYR) a great tit. This last stamp is regrettably damaged...
The 360 BYR right stamp was issued on September 18th, 2005 to commemorate the 1000 years of the Turov diocese.
The city of Turov, quite as that of Pinsk about whom I spoke recently, is situated in the region of Polesia, in the southwest of Belarus.

Turov fut la ville de l'évêque Cyril de Turov, grand philosophe Ruthénien et grande figure religieuse. C'est lui qui fonda donc en 1005 le premier évêché chrétien de l'histoire du Belarus à Turov.
Une statue en son honneur a été construite sur une colline de Turov, c'est cette statue qu'on retrouve sur le timbre.
Turov was the city of the bishop Cyril of Turov, a great Ruthenian philospher and religious major figure. It is him who thus based in 1005 the first Christian bishopric of the history of Belarus to Turov. A statue in its honor was built on a hill of Turov, it is this statue that we find on the stamp.
