Quelle coïncidence ! J'ai reçu cette lettre (postée de Londres le 23 ou 26 avril 2011) juste aujourd'hui, pile poil le jour de "The Royal Wedding" !
Merci beaucoup Joël pour cet intéressant courrier affranchi donc avec le bloc-feuillet, émis par la Royal Mail le 21 avril 2011, consacré au mariage ce jour du Prince William de Galles et de Miss Catherine Middleton :-)
A noter que ce bloc a été émis 8 jours avant le mariage mais surtout le jour du 85ème anniversaire de la reine Elisabeth II...
What a coincidence ! I've just received today this letter (mailed from London on April 23 or 26, 2011), on the exact day of "The Royal Wedding" !

To note that this sheet has been issued 8 days before the wedding but also on the day of the 85th anniversary of Queen Elizabeth II...

Les 2 timbres de ce bloc reproduisent les photographies officielles du couple royal prises (par Mario Testino) le jour de leurs fiançailles.
Celui au tarif permanent 1st Class (0,46£) montre un portrait du couple dans la Cornwall Room de Clarence House, la résidence officielle à Londres de Charles, Prince de Galles et de sa femme, la duchesse de Cornouailles, mais aussi de William et son frère Harry.
L'autre timbre (1,10£) représente William et Miss Catherine dans la chambre du Conseil (Council Chamber) du Palais Saint-James de Londres, la résidence administrative officielle de la Couronne.
A noter la présence dans la marge en haut à gauche du blason du Prince William et de la mention de ce mariage du siècle en anglais mais aussi en gallois...
The two stamps part of this sheet reproduce the official photographs of the royal couple (by Mario Testino) dating from the day of their official engagement.
The permanent rate "1st Class" (£ 0.46) stamp features a portrait of the couple taken in the Cornwall Room at Clarence House, the official residence in London of Charles, Prince of Wales and his wife, the Duchess of Cornwall, but also of William and his brother Harry.
The other stamp (£ 1.10) features William and Miss Catherine in the Council Chamber at St. James Palace in London, the administrative official residence of the Crown.
To note the presence in the top left margin of the coat of arms of Prince William and also the mention of this marriage of the century in English but also in Welsh...
