Ce timbre (0,80€), splendide, a été conçu par Thomas Steinacker, originaire de Bonn (la ville de naissance de Beethoven) à partir d'un portrait du musicien datant de 1820, par le peintre allemand Joseph Karl Stieler, exposé dans sa maison natale.
Ce timbre figure sur les 2 plis spéciaux ci-dessous, envoyés depuis la municipalité de Hiddenhausen (Land de Rhénanie-du-Nord-Westphalie) le 26 janvier 2020. Merci beaucoup Jens !

This beautiful stamp (€ 0.80) was designed by Thomas Steinacker, living in Bonn (the Beethoven's birth place) from a portrait of the musician dating from 1820, by the German painter Joseph Karl Stieler, exhibited in his birthplace.
This stamp was used on the two special covers below, sent from the municipality of Hiddenhausen (Land of North Rhine-Westphalia) on January 26, 2020. Thank you very much Jens!
Ce 26 janvier 2020, la 10ème édition d'une bourse d'échange ("Tauschtag") y était organisée par l'association philatélique locale "Briefmarkengilde Wittekind Herford", avec ces 250 ans de la naissance de Beethoven pour thématique (après les 500 ans de la mort de Léonard de Vinci en 2019).
Lors de cette manifestation, l'enveloppe pré-timbrée ci-dessus (0,80€ - timbre "capucine" émis le 1er juillet 2019) a été spécialement émise, avec ajout ici de ce timbre consacré à Beethoven.
A noter ce TAD associé incluant un portrait du compositeur et une référence à L'Hymne à la joie ("Ode an die freude"), finale du dernier mouvement de sa symphonie n°9, l'hymne officiel de l'Union européenne depuis 1986.
This January 26, 2020, the 10th edition of an exchange day ("Tauschtag") was organized there by the local philatelic association "Briefmarkengilde Wittekind Herford", with these 250 years of the birth of Beethoven for theme (after the 500 years of Leonardo da Vinci's death in 2019).
During this event, the prepaid envelope above (€ 0.80 - "garden nasturtium" stamp issued on July 1, 2019) was specially issued, with the addition of this stamp dedicated to Beethoven here.
To note this associated cancellation including a portrait of the composer and a reference to The Ode to Joy ("Ode an die freude"), final of the last movement of his Symphony No. 9, the official anthem of the European Union since 1986.

Avec sa musique immortelle, Beethoven est considéré comme un artiste radical et un visionnaire créatif, ayant défendu passionnément les idéaux de liberté et de fraternité, en particulier à travers cette Symphonie n°9 composée entre 1822 et 1824, ayant profondément influencé l'histoire de la musique au 19ème et 20ème siècle.
Jens a complété son affranchissement avec un timbre (0,30€, émis le 2 janvier 2020) faisant partie de la série courante "fleurs" en cours (débutée en 2005), une fleur d'hémérocalle ici, pour atteindre le tarif en vigueur pour un envoi en Europe (1,10€) jusqu'à 20g.

Jens completed his postage with one stamp (€ 0.30, issued on January 2, 2020) as part of the ongoing definitive "flowers" series (started in 2005), a daylily here, to reach the rate in force for a shipment in Europe (€ 1.10) up to 20g.
