Série "Centres de recherche" sur FDC de Malaisie
Le 18 mai 2023, la poste malaisienne a mis en circulation une intéressante série (3 timbres) consacrée à différents centres de recherche de premier plan dans le pays ("Pusat Penyelidikan di Malaysia").
Ces 3 timbres, imprimés chacun en feuille de 20 timbres, figurent sur le FDC officiel ci-dessous avec TAD de la ville de Kangar, capitale de l'état de Perlis (située dans le nord-ouest de la péninsule malaise, près de la frontière thaïlandaise). Merci beaucoup Khor !
Le 1er timbre (30 sen) est consacré à l'institut de recherche forestière (FRIM), créé en 1929 et situé à Kepong (près de Kuala Lumpur), qui promeut la gestion durable et l'utilisation optimale des ressources forestières en Malaisie en générant des connaissances et des technologies par la recherche, le développement et l'application en foresterie tropicale.
Cet institut a recrée la plus ancienne et la plus grande forêt tropicale humide au monde.
On May 18, 2023, the Malaysian Post released an interesting series (3 stamps) dedicated to different leading research centers in the country ("Pusat Penyelidikan di Malaysia").
These 3 stamps, each printed in sheets of 20 stamps, are present on the official FDC below with postmark from the city of Kangar, capital of the state of Perlis (located in the north-west of the Malay Peninsula, near the Thai border). Thank you very much Khor!
The first stamp (30 sen) is dedicated to the Forest Research Institute Malaysia (FRIM), established in 1929 and located in Kepong (near Kuala Lumpur), which promotes the sustainable management and optimal use of forest resources in Malaysia by generating knowledge and technologies through research, development and application in tropical forestry.
This institute has recreated the oldest and largest tropical rainforest in the world.
Le 2ème timbre (70 sen) est consacré à l'institut de recherche médicale (IMR), la plus ancienne organisation de recherche biomédicale en Malaisie avec une variété d'équipements technologiques de pointe.
Cet institut a été fondé par les britanniques en 1900 sous le nom d'Institut de pathologie de Kuala Lumpur, dans le but d'améliorer la santé de la population locale et d'explorer le domaine vaste et encore méconnu de la médecine tropicale.
Le 3ème timbre (1,30 RM) est consacré à un centre de recherche beaucoup plus récent (opérationnel depuis 2000), l'office malaisien de l'huile de palme (MPOB), une agence gouvernementale chargée de la promotion et du développement de l'industrie de l'huile de palme en Malaisie.
Le MPOB soutient en particulier le développement de nouveaux produits, notamment le biodiesel et les utilisations alternatives de la biomasse des palmiers, les déchets organiques produits lors de la transformation des palmiers à huile.
The 2nd stamp (70 sen) is dedicated to the Institute of Medical Research (IMR), the oldest biomedical research organization in Malaysia with a variety of advanced technological equipment.
This institute was founded by the British in 1900 as the Kuala Lumpur Institute of Pathology, with the aim of improving the health of the local population and exploring the vast and still unknown field of tropical medicine.
The 3rd stamp (RM1.30) is dedicated to a much newer research center (operational since 2000), the Malaysian Palm Oil Board (MPOB), a government agency responsible for the promotion and development of the palm oil industry in Malaysia.
The MPOB particularly supports the development of new products, including biodiesel and alternative uses of palm biomass, the organic waste produced during the processing of oil palms.
