La poste de Jersey avait débuté en 1973 une série consacrée à l'histoire de l'aviation (4 timbres) puis plusieurs autres séries sur le même thème ont été émises, une 11ème en particulier en 2012 (le 10 mars) à l'occasion du 75ème anniversaire de l'aéroport de Jersey.
6 timbres (de 0,37£ à 0,86£) et un bloc-feuillet (3£), conçus par Tony Theobald, ont été mis en circulation dans un livret composé de 4 feuillets dont 3 incluant les 6 timbres (répartis dans un ordre différent).
Un des ces 3 feuillets figure sur le pli ci-dessous envoyé le 13 octobre 2017 (à noter le TAD usuel sans mention précise de lieu mais uniquement "Jersey Channel Islands").
Le 1er aéronef à se poser à Jersey (baie de St Aubin) fut le biplan Sanchez-Besa piloté par le français Jean Benoist, en août 1912.
The Post of Jersey had started in 1973 a series devoted to Aviation History (4 stamps) and then several other series on the same theme were issued, an 11th in particular in 2012 (on March 10) on the occasion of the 75th Anniversary of Jersey Airport.
Six stamps (from £ 0.37 to £ 0.86) and a souvenir sheet (£ 3), designed by Tony Theobald, were put into circulation inside a presentation pack consisting of 4 sheetlets, including 3 with the 6 stamps (distributed in a different order).
One of these 3 sheetlets is present on the cover below sent on October 13, 2017 (to note the usual postmarks without precise mention of place but only "Jersey Channel Islands").
The first aircraft to land in Jersey (in St Aubin Bay) was the Sanchez-Besa biplane piloted by Frenchman Jean Benoist in August 1912.

Un Handley Page HPR.7 Herald 201 G-APWH (compagnie Air UK) est représenté sur le tarmac de cet aéroport en mai 1980, dans la marge inférieure.
