"Metropolitan Gavriil Bănulescu-Bodoni (1746-1821)" stamp on FDC from Moldova

Timbre "Métropolite Gavriil Bănulescu-Bodoni (1746-1821)" sur FDC de Moldavie

Le 30 mars 2021, la poste moldave a mis en circulation un nouveau timbre consacré au 200ème anniversaire (jour pour jour) de la mort ("passage dans l'éternité" en roumain) du métropolite Gavriil Bănulescu-Bodoni (1746-1821).
Gavril Bănulescu-Bodoni était un prêtre roumain qui a servi comme métropolite de Moldavie (la région historique partagée aujourd'hui par la Roumanie et la Moldavie) en 1792, métropolite de Kherson et Crimée (entre 1793 et1799), métropolite de Kiev et Halych (entre 1799 et 1803), exarque des principautés de Moldavie et Valachie (entre 1806 et 1812) puis archevêque de Chişinău (entre 1812 et 1821), étant ainsi le premier chef de l'église en Bessarabie après l'annexion russe.
Après sa mort, il a été inhumé dans le monastère de Căpriana et a été canonisé par l'église orthodoxe en 2016. 
On March 30, 2021, the Post of Moldova issued a new stamp dedicated to the 200th anniversary (day to day) of the death ("passage into eternity" in Romanian) of Metropolitan Gavriil Bănulescu-Bodoni (1746-1821).
Gavril Bănulescu-Bodoni was a Romanian priest who served as Metropolitan of Moldavia (the historical region shared today by Romania and Moldova) in 1792, Metropolitan of Kherson and Crimea (between 1793 and 1799), Metropolitan of Kiev and Halych (between 1799 and 1803), exarch of the principalities of Moldavia and Wallachia (between 1806 and 1812) then archbishop of Chişinău (between 1812 and 1821), thus being the first head of the church in Bessarabia after the Russian annexation.
After his death, he was buried in the Căpriana Monastery and was canonized by the Orthodox Church in 2016.

 

Ce timbre (5,75 L, tirage : 36000), conçu par Eugen Verebceanu et imprimé en feuillet de 9 timbres, figure sur l'élégant FDC officiel ci-dessus (tirage : 300) avec TAD Premier Jour associé de Chişinău (MD-2012). Merci beaucoup Nicolae !
A noter que la poste moldave avait déjà émis un timbre consacré au métropolite Gavril Bănulescu-Bodoni en 1996.
Afin d'atteindre le tarif en vigueur pour un envoi prioritaire jusqu'à 20g vers les pays de la zone A (incluant la France), soit 11 L actuellement, Nicolae a complété cet affranchissement avec 2 autres timbres, dont un timbre (0,25 L) faisant partie de la série courante de 6 timbres, émise le 7 mars 2015, consacrée à des blasons de villes moldaves, celui de la ville de Hîncești ici. 

Le 3ème timbre (5 roubles), émis le 8 août 1992, représente la statue de la Louve du Capitole (copie d'une statue située à Rome), le symbole associé à la légende de Romulus et Remus et à la fondation de Rome, installée devant le musée national d'histoire de Chișinău depuis 1990.
Sauf erreur, ce timbre a été remis en circulation à partir du 1er février 2006 avec une valeur de 5 L.

This stamp (5.75 L, print run: 36,000), designed by Eugen Verebceanu and printed in a sheetlet of 9 stamps, is present on the elegant official FDC above (print run: 300) with associated First Day cancellation from Chişinău (MD- 2012). Thank you very much Nicolae!

To note that the Post of Moldova had already issued a stamp dedicated to Metropolitan Gavril Bănulescu-Bodoni in 1996.

In order to reach the rate in force for a priority shipment up to 20g to countries of zone A (including France), i.e. 11 L currently, Nicolae completed this postage with two other stamps, including one stamps (0.25 L) being part of the definitive series of 6 stamps, issued on March 7, 2015, dedicated to the coats of arms of cities of Moldova, the city of Hîncești here. 

The 3rd stamp (5 rubles), issued on August 8, 1992, features the statue of the Capitoline Wolf (copy of a statue located in Rome), the symbol associated with the legend of Romulus and Remus and the foundation of Rome, located in front of the National History Museum of Chişinău since 1990. 

If I am not mistaken, this stamp was put back into circulation from February 1, 2006 with a nominal value of 5 L.
